Tudor View is a spacious self-contained cottage-type bungalow with a comfortable kitchen/dining room and a TV sitting room. It has beautiful views on both sides – over to the manor house and across miles of unspoilt Sussex countryside. Tudor View sleeps up to 7 people in 2 bedrooms plus a folding Z bed and a double sleep sofa (sofa-bed settee).

I am Kildare Borrowes, cousin of the owner Eva Morris, and I look after all Pekes bookings for her. Pekes was the home of her grandparents and parents; she was born tere and has lives there all her life. I am a writer and gardener, and particularly interested in the history of Sussex and its landscapes, its painters and its gardens. Like for most people I find there are few greater pleasures in life than walking along the nearby South Downs with the sea cliffs and the fresh breeze on the one side and the ancient sheep pastures on the other. I also really love the ancient Wealden landscape in which Pekes lies, much of it unchanged since medieval times when it was a source of iron, timber, bricks and pigs in the woods. There is even a Roman field system still existing nearby! All fascinating.

4 miles north of Hailsham on the A22, up Nash Street at Golden Cross, turn into Pekes Lane and through the gates into Pekes, which is up a long drive. 50 miles from London, 10 miles from Eastbourne and Lewes, 16 miles from Brighton, 45 minutes from Gatwick airport by road or rail.
