Property info

Ty Meryl (formerly called Y Gweithdy) is a recent conversion of historic farm buildings which at one time served as the Home Farm for the nearby Plas Newydd estate. At one time, this building served as the workshop (gweithdy is Welsh for workshop) and has remained in the hands of the same family who originally built it almost 200 years ago.

Neighborhood info

Close to Y Gweithdy is the National Trust's Plas Newydd House and Gardens look out over the Menai Strait towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Hootons Farm Shop is just down the road, stacked high with local fresh produce and Menai Bridge and a Waitrose are just a 10-minute drive away. Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park are nearby by - true family favourites and the west coast of Anglesey with its wonderful beaches within easy reach.
