Also from here, visitors can take the train to Manchester or Sheffield for museums, galleries and shows, or stop off in Edale and walk the Pennine Way. Visit Castleton to enjoy a guided tour by boat through its caves, where the beautiful Blue John Stone is mined. The old market town of Bakewell is a must, as well as a day visit to Chatsworth House and its 1,000-acre estate, made famous by ‘Pride and Prejudice,’ or Haddon Hall.
