We have been operating since 2018 and offer 10 rooms in our guesthouse in addition to which we have 3 cottages close to the village. We do not have a reception but you will receive an email with key code information the same day you arrive.

Black Beach Guesthouse is a new guesthouse in Þorlákshöfn town. A fishing village on the south coast of Iceland by a black beach and just about 15 km from the famous Golden Circle route. This is a hidden gem in Iceland and not filled with people or packed with tourists.

This is a hidden gem in Iceland and not filled with people or packed with tourists. There are various activities that you can do at the black beach. You can go on ATV tours or Rib boats tours by the beach. You can relax in Yoga session or go on a fishing trip. The famous lava tunnel, Raufarholshellir is also close by, the church Strandakirkja as well as the valley in Reykjadalur where you can bath in a warm river. Thorlakshofn is also known to be a hidden gem in the search of the northern lights.
