Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, Fontana Spa are all within easy reach. Sustainable, handcrafted guesthouse on the shores of Þingvellir Lake. Built by a former Olympian-turned-architect using almost entirely second-hand materials — even the parquet and pillars, once telephone poles. Designed with love, built with purpose. A peaceful, eco-conscious retreat in the heart of Iceland’s natural and historic beauty. Perfect for reconnecting with nature, yourself, and the quiet magic of Þingvellir.
We truly hope that you like our sustainable house at Thingvellir lake. It´s built 90% out of left over material. It´s designed and built by me (Einar) over a one and a half year period. It´s warm, cozy and it takes you 1 min to walk to Thingvellir lake with it´s stunning view over the lake and it´s surroundings.
