We are a family living on a dairy farm in South Iceland. We enjoy hiking and horse riding.

Property info

Middalskot is a dairy farm in South Iceland, middle of the Golden Circle. Today three generations live on the farm and between us we have milking cows, horses, dog, cats and cottage rental. Our cottages are built by Karl and are cleaned and taken care of by his wife Margrét and their daughter Sóley. Hermann, their son takes care of dairy farm together with his partner Sigrún. Two grandkids live on the farm, Mathias (11) and Sara (9).

Neighborhood info

We are located in the middle of the Golden Circle. 20 minutes drive from Geysir hot spring, 30 min from waterfall Gullfoss, 50 min from Reykjavík, 6 min drive from supermarket, restaurants and swimming pool. Our place is ideal for staying two - three nights while exploring South Iceland. We provide maps with inside information on things to explore. Also on our farm we have made for our guests a 1 hour hike trail in our mountain side and forests where they can enjoy nature, geology and amazing views.
