For a long time, my father and I shared the dream of revitalizing this historic hotel, once the only establishment in Avola and the surrounding area to welcome 'strangers... and more' by transforming it into a B&B. Following a meticulous renovation of the building, our dream has finally come to life. We are now ready to welcome guests visiting Avola for business or leisure, who wish to experience our sea, culture, art, local flavors, and authentic Sicilian hospitality.

Property info

The B&B 'Albergo Sicilia' was born from the idea of renovating an old hotel built at the end of the 19th century. Originally opened in 1912 and later retrofitted to meet anti-seismic standards in 1980, the building was subsequently decommissioned and used as a private studio before its recent transformation.

The B&B 'Albergo Sicilia' is located in the very central Piazza Umberto I in Avola, an ideal base for daytime trips to the most beautiful places in Eastern Sicily (Noto, Marzamemi, Syracuse, Modica, Ragusa, Taormina, Catania, etc...). You can also take a dip in the splendid Ionian Sea or, in the evenings, enjoy the lively Avola summer, which is packed with events and festivals (White Night, Almond Festival, Swordfish Festival, Tuna Festival, etc...). Furthermore, the B&B offers its guests the chance to relax on the terrace, perhaps with a good book and a glass of Nero d'Avola wine or fresh Avola almond milk.
