Historic residence in the center of Sarzana, just 400 meters from the train station and only a few minutes from the sea and the Cinque Terre. The Foresteria di Palazzo Picedi Benettini is located at Via Giuseppe Mazzini 37, in the heart of the historic center, inside a charming historic palace whose first construction dates back to the 14th century. In the 18th century the building underwent an important renovation and became a bishop’s residence, still preserving today the elegance and charm typical of historic Ligurian residences. Over the centuries the palace hosted distinguished guests such as Maria Luigia, wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, and Pope Pius VII, adding prestige and historical significance to this remarkable residence. The guesthouse is located on the second floor of the building and does not have an elevator, therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. The rooms have been designed with great respect for the historical character and architectural restrictions of the palace, preserving its original atmosphere while offering modern comfort. The property offers three rooms: • Verde Oro Room – about 16 sqm with a private external bathroom for exclusive use. • Blue Room – about 18 sqm with a private external bathroom for exclusive use. • Family Suite – about 42 sqm featuring a spacious living area, master bedroom and private en-suite bathroom. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, minibar, safety deposit box, towels set, courtesy toiletries, espresso coffee machine with complimentary pods, and a welcome bottle of water. Guests can also enjoy the sun terrace, a pleasant space to relax during their stay. The central location allows guests to easily reach Piazza Matteotti, the Teatro degli Impavidi, and the Palazzo Comunale di Sarzana, making the property especially convenient for attending cultural events, shows and city festivals.
