This tiny house is truly one of a kind. The only short-term rental in the area. A newly renovated chic house, only a 6-minute walk from Zenkoji Temple. Located in the heart of Nagano City, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for couples. It is a great spot to stay and roam the back streets of a great city and mingle with the locals, off the beaten bath. This is a recently renovated house. The rooms are small but quaint and comfortable. We just listed the house in early October, 2024 and started receiving our first guests on October 11. The bath/shower and toilet are located on the first floor, the kitchen, dining area and living room on the second and the bedrooms are on the third floor. The stairs are a bit steep so please be careful. Netflix is available on the TV but local TV stations, like NHK, are not.

We are within walking distance of the biggest tourist attraction in the area - Zenkoji Temple as well as a 7-11, a laundromat, a Starbucks and several bars and restaurants, yet it is a very quaint and quiet old neighborhood. Sakura House is located 1.6 km (1 mile) from Nagano Station (use the Zenkoji Exit). It is a 22-minute walk, a 5-minute car / taxi ride, a 4-minute Dentetsu train ride or a 10-minute bus ride. If you are taking the train, go through JR Nagano Station and take the escalator located on the right-hand side. Go down the escalator, out the doors and turn right to go down the stairs to the Nagano Dentetsu Station. From there it is the third stop. Get off at Zenkoji Shita Station. Sakura House is located about 350 m (5 min on foot) from Zenkoji Shita Station. (Beware, as there are no elevators at Zenkoji Shita Station so you will have to carry your bags up the stairs.) By taxi, probably best to get dropped off at the Kobayashi Animal Hospital ( Kobayashi Dobutsu Byoin) and walk from there. The easiest way other than taxi is probably by city bus. Catch the bus at Stop Number 6 which is located at the Bus Rotary in front of the Zenkoji Exit of Nagano Station. From there it is a ten-minute ride to Miwa Tamachi ( 三輪田町 ) Pronounced: Me – Wah (as in the Hyundai commercial) Tama (as in toma -hawk) and Chee as in cheese. Me – Wah – Tama - Chee. It is 230 yen. From the bus stop to Sakura House it is a 3-minute walk.
