After dedicating 35 years to Tokyo's corporate world, I have bid farewell to the bustling city and returned to my hometown, Shinanomachi, a charming town in northern Nagano Prefecture. My connection to this region runs deep, stemming from my parents' decision to purchase a cabin on Lake Nojiri well before my birth in 1966. Since 1962, Shinanomachi and Lake Nojiri have been our family's cherished vacation spot. Growing up in this picturesque countryside, I've had the privilege of hosting countless friends at our lakeside cabin, many of whom have become devoted enthusiasts of the area, some even investing in cabins of their own. Motivated by a desire to contribute to the revitalization of the community, I have invested in Villa Shinano to offer a growing number of those desiring a truly amazing get-a-way and experience a convenient and quality accommodation to do so.
Surrounded by forests and rivers there is plenty of nature in the neighborhood. Just down the street there is a cafe/restaurant with Sauna (Sherokuma Cafe) as well as a coffee rostery who sell there locall roasted beans on line. Nanena Waterfalls are only a short drive or bike ride away.
