Hi, we’re Justine and Baz, and we’d love to welcome you to our little slice of paradise at Lake Brunner. We live on site, so we’re nearby if you need anything during your stay, while still giving you all the privacy and space to relax. We love sharing this beautiful part of the West Coast with visitors and are always happy to recommend local walks, fishing spots, cafes, and things to do. We also enjoy a drink or two from time to time. If you’d like to pop over for a chat and a drink, you’re more than welcome. We always take our lead from our guests though. If you’d prefer to keep to yourselves and enjoy a private getaway, we completely respect that and will make sure you have all the space and privacy you need. We also share our home with three cats, one Ragdoll and two Maine Coons. They’re part of the family and may wander over to say hello if they’re feeling sociable! Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or simply soak up the spectacular views over Lake Brunner, we hope you’ll feel right at home.

Things to See & Do Around Moana & Lake Brunner Whether you’re after adventure or simply want to slow down and relax, Lake Brunner and the surrounding area have something for everyone. Take a stroll along the beautiful lakefront, enjoy a coffee or meal at the local hotel or café, or spend the day fishing for the famous brown trout that Lake Brunner is known for. If you enjoy walking, the scenic Carew Falls Walk and the Peninsula Walkway offer stunning native bush, birdlife, and lake views. For something a little longer, the Bain Bay Walk is a favourite with locals and visitors alike. Bring your boat, kayak, or paddleboard and explore the peaceful waters, or simply sit back on the shore and soak up the tranquillity. Keep an eye out for native birds including tūī, bellbirds, kererū, and weka. Moana is also a great base for exploring the West Coast. You’re within easy driving distance of Greymouth, Hokitika, Punakaiki’s famous Pancake Rocks, and Arthur’s Pass National Park, making it easy to enjoy day trips before returning to the peace and quiet of the lake.
