Starry nights is a family holiday home hidden away in the hills in the historic mining village of Waikino. The owners are not always in residence but my agent lives next door. Payment is by internet banking or by cash. There is no credit card facilities. You may book a room, several rooms or the entire home and cabins (Much cheaper that way if you are a group of over 9) An outdoor shower and toilet has been added for the cabin users and / or tent dwellers. Please note that the cabins are warm and comfortable but there is a short walk to the facilities with low but adequate lighting. I have just planted over 100 trees and shrubs, mostly native on the lower terrace, a great area for "hide and seek", climbing trees and just healthy outdoor action. The front lawn is ideal for games and water slides.
I am flexible and responsive to the needs of my guests please let me know if I can help make your stay more comfortable. I love my family, I love travelling, I love being creative, I love learning new things, my imagination and curiosity is not aged or wrinkly.
If you like stunning bush walks, spectacular scenery, a bit of early NZ history, a surf beach 20 minutes away and an easy drive to more beautiful sandy beaches then this property is located right in the middle of all of these. A cycle track runs through Waikino and provides an easy ride through the bush beside the spectacular Ohinemuri river to the charming small towns of Thames, Waihi, Paeroa and Te Aroha.
