Welcome to our cute, cosy, comfortable property in central Featherston! Set on a 2000sqm section with established trees & pretty flowers, the property has a country feel whilst being conveniently located close to local shops, restaurants, train, and a 45 min drive to Petone/ Lower Hutt. There is abundant bird life, and occasionally chickens stroll through the property. With sun galore, you'll enjoy the warm second living room (or 4th bedroom) at the rear which opens up to the sunny deck. A popular destination for those visiting the numerous wineries in Martinborough (15 min drive, or bus from Featherston station), and the boutique shops in Greytown (10 min drive). Close to Tauherenikau racecource & wedding venue (8 min drive) . The Wairarapa hosts numerous events including the Martinbourough Fair (Feb & March), Toast Martinborough (January), Round the vines (Nov), Greytown winter festival (June/ July) and Wings over Wairarapa. Only a short drive over the hill, yet you will feel relaxed, and far away from the hustle & bustle. Our guests include those on business, trips, recreational fishing trips, work functions, family holidays, couples holidays, hens nights, and cyclists, with the Remutaka cycle trail & the Underhill Road cycle trail which connects Underhill Road to a new bridge over the Tauwharenikau river, which has the longest suspended deck in NZ! Bedding set up consists of: Bedroom 1 - King bed & single bed Bedrooms 2 - King Bed Bedroom 3 - Queen Bed Second living/ Bedroom 4 - Queen fold out couch
Featherston is a popular location due to its close proximity to Welliington, approx 45 mins drive from Lower Hutt & approx 1 hour from Wellington City. Also very popular for those wanting to do a spot of shopping in Greytown, and for those wanting to visit the numerous wineries in Martinborough. Popular events the Martinborough Fair, Wings over Wairarapa, Wairarapa wines harvest festival, Races day at Tauherenikau see all accommodation booked out, so book early. A 10-minute walk from Featherston train station. 15 minutes drive to Martinborough 12 minutes drive to Gretown 45 mins drive to Lower Hutt/ Petone
