Your accommodation is the upstairs of our home, it is semiprivate, on saying that there is no way of closing the stairs off other than a screen at the top. The bedroom can be locked if required. It has all facilities needed to cook a meal. It has a bathtub in the bathroom and a small outside deck. You have private parking behind the house. Willowbark Ranch is a lifestyle block with lovely farm walks and animal therapy. The property is well maintained with easy walking tracks which boundaries onto DOC wetlands. There are horses, cattle, chooks, ducks and a Kune Kune pig called Fred. Willowbark Ranch first opened for B&B business in 2009. At that time in my life, I was happily married and had the time to also include horse riding in this business. After my marriage failed, in 2016, I temporarily closed the doors to the B&B and pursued a working job with elderly care. After my last client passed away in December 2025, I decided to open the B&B doors again. My old business is still showing up on different websites, with one website saying I'm temporarily closed. I don't seem to be able to cancel these posts. I would like to acknowledge that this can cause confusion but I'm back, I'm older but still have a deep pride in what I do. People from all walks of life are most welcome here and are treated with the same friendly outgoing attitude. I continue to strive for the best reviews and are deeply passionate about my job. You are provided with a continental breakfast and freshly baked muffins or date scones. I know longer offer horse riding, but the farm is idyllic and peaceful and is a few minutes' drive to the beautiful Waihi Beach and Athenree hot pools.

Hi there, I am 72 years old and are the main caretaker of our property Willowbark Ranch. My ex (Neil) also lives on the property but works away during the day. My interests are wide and varied. I love country music and anything to do with Cowboys. Willowbark Ranch used to be a B&B many years ago but was closed down when my marriage failed and I took on working for the Elderly. I've come full circle, Neil has come back to board and the final chapter of caring for the oldies is coming to an end. Both Neil and myself are a couple of typical country bumpkins and are very friendly and interested in people's lives. We are very down to earth and have pride in our beautiful little paradise. I had great reviews in the old days, and I would expect to be at the top of your list of places to stay in New Zealand.

We have the most amazing neighbourhood and friendly neighbours who love to attend a good old cowboy party in Shona's garage saloon. We have no problems in Athenree Heights, a well respected and safe place to stay and wander around.
