This wonderful family beach house has for many years been in the possesion of the present owner Tashrifa and her family. The villa is private and you have the entire house/place for yourself. The house is spacious and airy and surrounded by a private garden with plenty of trees, flowers and an outdoor terrasse with breeze and shadow both day and night. A small village is situated right behind the house. Tashrifa grew up between two cultures. She was born in Zanzibar and moved to Denmark when she was 12 years old, but she has always kept a strong connection to her island home. The house you are staying in belongs to her family, and it holds many memories from her childhood. She travels back to Zanzibar often and still spends time living in the house whenever she visits. Tashrifa loves traveling and meeting people from different cultures. She is also a passionate cook, and food is an important part of how she connects with people and shares her heritage. Hosting guests is something she truly enjoys because it gives her the chance to share the beauty of Zanzibar, its culture, and the warm atmosphere of her family home. For Tashrifa, hosting is not just about accommodation – it is about making guests feel welcome and giving them an authentic experience of island life.
The house is located in a small and peaceful village right by the ocean. The area is very local and authentic, giving guests the opportunity to experience everyday life in Zanzibar away from the busy tourist areas. Just a short walk from the house you will find small local shops where you can buy everyday essentials like milk, snacks, cakes, shampoo and other basic items. There are also a few small restaurants nearby where you can enjoy simple local dishes, as well as a local fish seller who brings in fresh fish from the sea. The beach is right outside the village and is perfect for relaxing walks, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful ocean views. The atmosphere is calm and friendly, and many guests appreciate the chance to experience the genuine rhythm of village life in Zanzibar while still having the essentials close by.
