A homely character-filled beach house situated high on a sand dune, with fantastic sweeping views over the entire False Bay from the living room and verandah. Step up through the natural fynbos to the front door and into an open air Morrocan-style courtyard. Two bedrooms, and the shared bathroom lead off the northwesterly wind protected courtyard. The light open-plan lounge and kitchen lead onto a south easterly protected veranda. The main bedroom en suite on the first floor is complete with a Romeo and Juliet balcony and a reading corner or a bed for a young child. Fireplaces in the living room and main bedroom contribute to the cosy ambiance. This is a cleverly designed house with great energy, just a hop, skip and a jump to the main swimming beach. Fireplace and a extra bed for a child Bedroom 2: Twin room, doors leading onto garden and onto the courtyard. Neighborhood info

Nestled at the foot of the dramatic Hangklip cliffs, Pringle Bay (Afrikaans: Pringlebaai) is a charming seaside village in South Africa’s Western Cape. Overlooking the opposite side of False Bay from Cape Point, this tranquil destination forms part of the pristine Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve — a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its extraordinary biodiversity. Named after Rear-Admiral Thomas Pringle of the Royal Navy, the bay carries a rich maritime legacy dating back to the late 18th century. Today, it is a peaceful retreat where many homes serve as cherished holiday hideaways, accessed via the scenic R44 route that winds between Betty’s Bay and Gordon’s Bay. Pringle Bay’s most iconic landmark is Hangklip — the striking “hanging rock” that juts dramatically into the ocean, marking the eastern edge of False Bay. Rising 484 metres above sea level, Hangklip Mountain is riddled with natural caves, once used as shelters by runaway slaves and bandits. With its rugged beauty, storied past, and unspoiled natural surroundings, Pringle Bay is more than a destination — it’s a place where history, nature, and serenity converge. The village is remote, please travel by car. Prepaid electricity meters are in place for the tenants account
