Listening Wind self-catering lends itself to leisure time; from lazing in the sunroom with a book to sun-tanning at the salt-water pool and enjoying home-made pizzas or a barbeque for supper. Silversands Beach is a quick walk away; play, swim, fish and enjoy beautiful sunsets here. The area is quiet with quaint dirt roads, no street lights, minimum traffic. The perfect place to rest and restore!
Retired in Betty’s Bay after a career in IT. Loving the freedom of the Whale Coast and the simple and quiet life here. Your hosts live 5 minutes away and will be available 24/7 to answer questions or assist where needed.
Betty’s Bay is home to the Stony Point Penguin Colony - one of 2 African Penguin colonies in the Western Cape. The Harold Porter National Botanical Garden consists of 10 hectares of cultivated gardens and has beautiful hiking trails amongst the narural pristine fynbos. Other attractions in the villages of Rooiels, Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond: excellent restaurants, hiking, sand-boarding, golf, whale-watching, fishing, Saturday markets, art and pottery galleries. Betty’s Bay is 100km from Cape Town. From Gordon’s Bay, the beautiful scenic Clarence Drive is known as one of the most beautiful in the world. The villages of Rooiels, Pringle Bay and Kleinmond are all short distances away and have plenty of restaurants, shops and coffee shops for your enjoyment.
