Hosts were super nice, friendly and accommodating. Loved home made breakfast every day, fresh and delicious. Neighbourhood is quiet and not too far from the city. The whole stay felt like home stay with family and friends rather than just a stay. Loved the whole experience and ambience.

Holyrood Park

The vast, green expanse of Holyrood Park is best experienced from Arthur'€™s Seat – the park's rugged mountain and a long-dormant volcano. When you head up the winding paths, you'€™ll see the delicate remains of the 15th-century St. Anthony'€™s Chapel, as well as the ruins of four 2,000-year-old hill forts.

Fabulous walking area, if you go up King Arthur's Seat the last section of the climb is very steep and rocky, please wear suitable footwear. St. Anthony's Chapel Ruins on Whinny Hill so worth a visit, great views.

We loved it here but we were really just walking through on our way to the Castle. Next time we go I would like to spend more time here. So lovely. Lots of benches to sit at. Beautiful views. Coffee shop for refreshments. Long queues though.

A must to visit if you have the time.

A must to visit if you have the time. A large area to chill out in and explore. When we lived in Edinburgh, we used to go there a lot with our young family. The energetic can go to the top of 'Arthur's Seat' for panoramic city views, or just go feed the ducks at the other end of the park.

When visiting the Park it is worth following the path around Holyrood, albeit it is 3.3 miles long, and one side is far steeper, but shorter than the other side, but the views of the City, from the top and side, and on clear days, Portobello harbour, the Firth of Forth, as well as the Rail and Road Bridges at Queensferry, is well worth the effort, and of course exercise!

Excellent location on bus lines and near Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. Less crowded, but very good restaurants nearby. The views or the window were excellent. External, but private bathroom worked well

It was lovely staying in such an historic building and coming in through the physic garden after a bustling day became a peaceful transition. The location by Holyrood Park was also perfect for jet lagged early morning walks. The staff was extremely helpful and the lounge was very nice.

We loved the thoughtful layout of the apartment and the level of finishes. My adult children were impressed! Communications was great and we were able to drop off our luggage in the morning before checking in that afternoon. Walking up to Holyrood Park just past the apartment building revealed a beautiful view of Arthur’s Seat.

Comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Everything worked well: WiFi, heating, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen. The area is calm and pleasant, with Holyrood Park just outside and the city centre walkable. Host communicated well.
