Hotels near Naeba Ski Resort, Fukuro

Absolutely beautiful winter stay. Lots of eateries and shops. Lots of snow activities to enjoy as soon as you step out of the door. Ski/snow boarding lessons, rental gear, ski lifts, sledding, snow mobile rides. Free shuttle bus to and from train station was a plus. Everything was great, especially the staff.

The owner was amazing. He was very fun and friendly. He liked to share stories and talk with our family. He had a full ski and snowboard rental area for the whole family and was able to fit each person for the slopes.

Very close to Tashiro ski lift.

The hosts were very kind. The food was homey and delicious. The facilities were clean. Very simple but great stay. They were also kind enough to tell us about issues in the ski resort and gave us the option to cancel.

Have free parking. The snow field beside the hotel.

This is a great budget property. Nice and comfy rooms.

Good buffet dinner and good onsen

The hotel staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The food is decent, and the accommodation is close to the ski slope. And the nightly rate is quite reasonable if you book in advance — not too expensive at all. The nabe at dinner on the first night was delicious and all-you-can-eat.

I honestly cannot understand how cheap this hotel is considering the fantastic facilities it offer, the size of the rooms, the courtesy of the staff, etc. etc. I am sad we only stayed there one night and would suggest staying at least two. The private bathtub/small onsen in the room was fantastic. The room is also so peaceful and quiet, I had the best sleep ever.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Definitely will visit again. The value was far beyond the cost. The staff were amazing—super polite and incredibly helpful. I was especially touched when I woke up in the morning to find my shoes neatly placed at the front door and the snow already cleared off my car. You get to experience many different types of onsen, all private, with beautiful views and spacious, elegant baths entirely to yourself. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They also provided yukata and a traditional kotatsu, making it a complete Japanese cultural experience in one package. I’ve stayed at several expensive hotels before, but this place offered even better service than some of the luxury hotels I’ve experienced. I felt like a vip during my stay. I’m genuinely amazed.

Lots of parking. The private bath was great. The refreshment bar downstairs was a nice plus. Room was big! Hotel was clean and well maintained.

Check in was fairly easy. Rooms, bathrooms and eating spaces were clean and dust free. Great 1 night stay for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). Quiet overall. I didn’t have time to experience the onsen, but I saw there was a fee.

We like EVERYTHING about Wonderwall. The people and the place! Our teenage son and his two friends stayed at Wonderwall. The accommodation was clean, cozy, friendly, and provided a very safe environment, which was especially reassuring as a parent. The service was excellent and my son and his friends were very well taken care of. A big shout-out to the manager, Tom — he was amazing, like a big brother to the boys, and they truly enjoyed chatting with him. The rental services were a huge plus and made everything very convenient. The location was perfect, with close proximity to Mt. Naeba and Prince Naeba, and the nearby ramen noodle house was fantastic for a late-night supper after skiing. We highly recommend Wonderwall and would definitely return for another ski/snowboard holiday.

Even though it was a separate cabin, as a solo female traveler I felt safe and secure. People working at the counter were kind and helpful, food was great, I loooved the onsen and the view, even when the weather wasn’t perfect. The host also gave me a ride to the bus stop when the weather was really bad and it was hard to go on foot, so I really appreciate it. Also at the cafe there is an old Gramophone and you can enjoy listening to some old records, how amazing is that? One more thing - I think this property would be perfect for families with children. You can be loud and rowdy inside the cabin (with windows closed of course) without bothering anyone. I even received a JBL speaker from the host and enjoyed some beats and loud music, something that I can’t do in my Japanese apartment. Oh and also if you’re European I recommend setting the onsen to 35, personally I wasn’t able to handle hotter than that.

Customer service was ok, but it’s just standard to receive good customer service in Japan.

The property is very comfortable and is well-priced. The owner is incredibly helpful and all necessary ammenities are provided. Lastly, the location is conveniently close to a snow resort.

Every single detail about this hotel is outstanding. This hotel is practically 5*. Sparkling clean, comfortable, beautiful, just perfect.

we have to commend the front desk receiving receptionist. We were not able to get her name but she was very helpful and she really tried to communicate with us in English... Kuddos to this Hotel for hiring very accommodating staff. We are already planning our visit again to this hotel.
