Situated on a pretty, swimmable beach with a lovely pool and restaurant. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

The rooms are comfortable and the beach access is great. Breakfast is included and it is always great! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach is quiet so if you are looking for a quiet stretch of beach this is a good option.

You can’t beat the location: right in the heart of small town, 50 m from the beach. Just perfect! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible: from booking the tours to getting butter for your fussy eater, from surprise welcome drinks to fresh beach towels. You have the opportunity to relax by the beach or hang out by the pool, or go the rooftop terrace and enjoy the sunrise. Locals in nearby restaurants will make you feel welcome. We have booked all our tours through the property and they were absolutely fantastic and well organized.

The property is well maintained with outdoor space including three patio decks, parking and a mowed grassy area. The beach is about 30 yards from the back yard. The hosts are knowledgeable about tours and other places of interest around Hopkins. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is convenient for restaurants, grocery stores and gourmet coffee shops. The hosts are very kind and friendly. Sugar Patch has been my favorite place in Belize and it is difficult to leave this tranquil environment.

Palmento Grove is an experience worth having! Starting from the kayak ride over, to experiencing the oasis of garifuna culture and food, to the rustic yet comfy glamping cabanas- everything is memorable, earnest and full of joy. Special thanks to every member of the Martinez family, especially Uwahnie and Eugene, who felt more like old friends than hosts by the time we said goodbye. Cannot recommend enough!
