LithuaniaAmazing location and great facilities - super comfy bed, the studio has all you need, from a well functioning washer/dryer, to an iron and ironing board, to everything you'd need for cooking (even salt and pepper). Everything is super clean and new, truly a superb experience. The people working at the reception were also super friendly - kudos to the kiwi guy who was super welcoming (sorry - could not remember his name :)). The location is also very convenient - close to hustle and bustle, and yet in a very quiet street.

And it’s also attached to a mall which made it so convenient for us to look for food when we don’t want to go somewhere far. The location is unbeatable — right in the city centre, which meant we could walk to all the main attractions without needing a taxi. The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite, even extending our check-out time without any issues. As a lovely touch, they also left a little postcard gift in the room. I would absolutely stay here again!

Fabulous location!! Super clean and comfortable. Fantastic place to stay and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Have stayed in a lot of places in this country and abroad, and the Herring Queen is definitely in our top five places to stay. Extremely easy to access the property and lovely to see dog treats on entry - it means so much to be able to stay in such a fab place with our dog. Super views, great walks and places to eat all near by. Will hopefully return in the not too distant future!! Wonderful stay.

Perfect location for a short trip to Edinburgh. A bit away from the city Center but conveniently located short walk from nearest train station (one stop to Waverley - the very city centre) and super close to a bus stop. Cosy old style small hotel with some real local climate, unlike anonymous chain brands. Very nicely decorated large room with all necessary facilities. High ceiling, lots of air, lots of light. I definitely do recommend traditional breakfast. Yummy!

The property is located absolutely in the perfect spot! You can walk to all the locations from there and Glass Market is just a short 10min walk. There are loads of restuarants and cafes nearby and ample transport options if you need! Overall a perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. The hosts are very responsive and make sure all your questions are answered.

Perfect location - short walk from the town centre but in a lovely quiet part of town.
Very comfortable place to stay. Everything we needed and more. Slept well in comfortable beds. Nice little touches all around the cottage.
Also had access to a nice garden area which was perfect given the lovely weather. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Would definitely stay again if up that way in the future.

We had a lovely stay at the Moyness House. We only stayed for one night in Inverness but location was perfect - about 10 mins walk to downtown. Owner is a perfect host. House is extremely clean and our room was great. Breakfast was super tasty.

Babas rooms were the perfect place to stay - spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and great location. The separate lounge/mini kitchen area is very inviting with comfortable armchairs, TV etc and provides a fridge microwave, kettle, coffee machine and tea/coffee provisions. Baba is the perfect host and quietly and calmly goes out of her way to make your stay memorable. Just loved this place - a true home away from home.

Staff were helpful and the guest house was very clean. The breakfast was ok with a choice of either hot or cold food. Have to say the cooked breakfast choice was limited and although the quantity was good it would have been good to have had say bacon rather than sausages every day. Location was excellent with bus stops into city centre outside. A very friendly place to stay.

Good location. Perfect place to stay for attending a conference at SECC. Very good connection to the SECC by train (4 min train, ~5 min walking). Also close to metro station, convenient for visiting the city.
