The staff was exceptional, always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with anything. The views from the hotel are absolutely beautiful and add to the overall experience.
The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. We also highly recommend dining at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was outstanding, and every meal we had there was delicious.
This hotel is especially ideal for travelers starting the Mont Blanc trek who prefer to stay close to the starting point rather than in central Chamonix. It is a perfect base for beginning the adventure while enjoying a peaceful and comfortable setting.

Excellent overall! Our executive queen room was big enough, very functional, very clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom had a great layout with a roomy walk-in shower with many hangers for towels and clothes. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The location of the hotel is just outstanding! Close to everything, the train station, the old town, restaurants, bakeries, shops, bus stops. Everything!
One note though. We don't know how good the breakfast is because we didn't have any there. We chose to go and taste the many different bakeries near by.
It was our first time in Annecy and we're glad we picked this hotel. We just loved the stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, thanks to the exceptional team. From the warm welcome by the staff outside the doors to the efficient reception and helpful concierge, which were at my service almost 24hr and always supported with any request, every interaction was pleasant. The frequent shuttle service to the city center was a huge plus, making it easy to explore. I also appreciated the convenience of having a ski rental store within the hotel and the seamless service to the sister hotel, which provided direct access to the ski entrance. The sauna was great

I truly enjoyed my stay at Auberge du Père Bise. The setting is absolutely beautiful, but what made the experience even more special was the staff, who are always attentive and genuinely caring. Dining at Restaurant Jean Sulpice is a must—it really elevates the stay and makes it even more memorable.

We had only planned a short trip with a focus on the Aiguille du Midi (which was amazing) but loved the town (we could walk everywhere). The food we had a various restaurants was all excellent. Even at the peak summer season it did not feel too crowded, which was surprising. Now we wish we had planned longer there but we will be back.

The centre of Annecy is charming, with many old buildings...
The centre of Annecy is charming, with many old buildings and a network of canals. It is very busy (at least in July) but much of the centre is pedestrianised which helps get around. From Annecy there is a convenient (if very crowded) local bus to a nature reserve, the Pic de Chere, with wonderful views of Lake Annecy and the mountains on the other side. I didn't have a chance to try out the swimming opportunities but there are small beaches all round the lake, again accessible by local bus from the centre.

We loved the peaceful atmosphere of Les Houches and the beautiful mountain views. It was a great base for exploring the Chamonix Valley, enjoying scenic walks, and taking in the stunning alpine scenery. Our accomidation was the star of the show as we stayed in Bonelle by Emerald stay and returning each day to such a lovely apartment made the experience even better. The apartment was spacious, spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything our family needed for a comfortable stay.I would definetly come back to stay with Emerald stay if not in Chamonix then in their many destination homes across the alps and Spain . I could´nt recommend them enough .

It is a really nice place and you can find your way easily.
It is a really nice place and you can find your way easily. However, in case you would like to benefit from the Thermes, make sure you pre-book online otherwise you won't get access. Also, try to eat at Le Four. It is unique and it is worth the visit.

Evian-les-Bains in June, during what should be peak tourist season, felt unexpectedly lifeless. Many stores appeared permanently closed, and the town lacked any real atmosphere after early evening—by 10pm, only the casino restaurant was still serving food. This left few options for late dining or entertainment. Given these circumstances and the general sense of a closed-up town, I would not recommend visiting Evian-les-Bains, especially if you're expecting a lively lakeside resort experience.
While some guides and official tourism pages highlight Evian's attractive lakefront, Belle Époque architecture, and potential activities along the lake and nearby outdoors, recent firsthand accounts confirm a lack of vibrancy and operational businesses, even in traditionally busy months. For travelers who prioritize a bustling atmosphere and broad dining options long into the evening, it may be better to look elsewhere.

stay in Sallanches industrial state every year travelling home but this year moved into the town and stayed in Du Mont Blanc Hotel so glad we did lots of bars to sit outside and we found a lovely Thai restaurant 5 mins from hotel food was great

La Clusaz is a very pretty resort, a nice find. It is low, so maybe not always snow sure. Lovely bars and restaurants, need to pre-book the restaurants maybe a few days before. Nice to be able to sit and have a drink at the bottom of the slopes, especially if the sun is out. Some of the lifts are a bit dated, with long drag lifts but it is not a busy resort, no queues. Amazing views from the top of the Beauregard lift and restaurants. Good walks up there as well if you don't ski. Would recommend but maybe book late to be snow sure. We went 18th to 22nd March and there was enough snow but slushy in the afternoon as sunny every day. It was raining the day we left. Really enjoyed our stay in the resort. Stayed at Hotel Alpen Cruz which is nice and good location, although probably recommend getting ski hire near the slopes maybe La Schluss.
