She was so warm and kind, and that energy carried through the entire staff—every single person we encountered was amazing. What really stood out was the presence of the owners, personally walking around, chatting with guests, and making sure everyone was happy and cared for. That level of attention gave the whole stay such a special and personal touch. The location and hotel itself are absolutely stunning—a true little piece of heaven. The design is beautiful, the facilities are top tier, and everything feels thought-out to perfection. And the food? Simply incredible! So fresh, high-end, and absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the Carbonara—it was outstanding. We stayed for five magical days, and leaving was truly bittersweet. But one thing is for sure: we will definitely be back! If you’re considering where to stay in Paje, do yourself a favor and book Lujo—you won’t regret it.

Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The apartment was finished to an exceptionally high standard, with fantastic facilities and superb internet. Having a dedicated office space was invaluable as I work remotely, and the swimming pools plus the wide breakfast selection made the experience even better. I would recommend The Oasis Residence without hesitation, especially for families. The staff were outstanding, consistently going the extra mile and truly enhancing our stay. A special mention goes to Joseph, who drove my wife and daughter with exceptional care while I was working. He is an incredibly safe and reliable driver, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing transport in the evenings, when taxis or tuk‑tuks can be difficult to find.

We had a wonderful stay at Be Zanzibar. Everything exceeded expectations! The owner, who is an architect, thought of every detail and curated a beautiful experience merging his experiences in Mexico and Dubai! They have multiple water sports you can do for free (clear kayak, paddle board, water bikes, etc.), and a dhow if you want to go snorkeling. The food at the restaurant, Casa Coco, was the cherry on top…great selection to choose from and the best Thai fried rice we have had at a non-Thai restaurant. Many thanks to Tarek, Alé, Yahya, and the whole Be Zanzibar family. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back again soon!

We stayed one night at Salida Beach. It is located a bit outside of the centre of Kizimkazi. By scooter, it takes you around 5 minutes to get to the main road and the main beach. The room was perfect. Every room has a little balcony or a terrace. It was superclean, the waterpressure was strong, and there was even a mini-fridge in the room. The ventilator is very fast and in gerneall the room was very well temperatured, no AC necessary at all. The wifi was stable and fast. The place has a generator, so there are no problems with powercuts. The area of Salida Beach is quite big, with a lot of trees which keep the place cool. There are some sunbeds directly at the coastline on the small cliff over the water, where you can watch the sunset or just relax. There is also a hammock. There is no sand beach, but stairs lead you down to the ocean if you want to swim, which I highly recommend, especially if it is high tide. The breakfast is out of this world. Everyone gets a big plate of fruits, then the eggs as you want them with guacamole and bread and 2 pancakes. For drinks, they had coffee, tea, and a very very good juice. There is the opportunity to have dinner at Salida Beach as well, but we did not try that. The staff was super friendly, they welcomed us, showed us the place, and were helpful with all our questions. We will definitely come again😁

The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way for you. The rooms are nice and the property is beautiful. The location is a little less central than other spots in Jambiani so if you’re looking for a quieter spot this is a great option. It’s walking distance to all of the other spots you’d want to go in Jambiani. It’s a beachfront property with fewer people on the beach and not many people trying to sell anything. The food in the restaurant is great. There are monkeys on the property which is fun.

By far our favorite hotel. We booked the garden view pool villa for 1 day and visited during our honeymoon. They organized a surprise for us with candles and flowers which made us so happy. All stuff were genuine and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was unreal and during dinner we had live music playing cocktails were very good as well. The main pool was very unique and the pool in our room was bigger than what I imagined. The rooms were very luxurious and beautiful. Also, when my husband had a sunburn, they brought us the hotel's doctor to check on him which we appreciated a lot. We had a great stay and thank you very much for this!

We had a truly special stay at Jambiani Beach Villas in Zanzibar. The villa was beautifully designed with stunning interiors, semi-private pools, and breathtaking views from both the terrace and balcony. We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade, which made the experience even more memorable. The accommodation itself was so lovely that we skipped excursions just to enjoy the house and surroundings. Breakfast was excellent, and both the restaurant and room service were efficient, fast, and very attentive. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay and would highly recommend it.

The location is awesome! The place is actually at the beach. The room was really good with a very nice bathroom that has a delightful walk-in shower. Every morning, they provided us with a delicious breakfast. We found Paje a beautiful place to stay and White Sands is just in the village where you can walk as well. The people that actually live there are really nice and welcoming. We think that where we stayed is the best place to stay in all the island. We want to return and we have friends that are going there this year.

Most relaxing place I know on the planet. Locally built, owned an run lodge in a not very developed part of Zansibar. Not for people who wants parties and beach life, but if you're after beautifull surrondings, friendly environment and comfy, relaxing days this place is highly recommended. Food selection is a little limited, room standard is not european, and its about as remote as you get on Zansibar, but none of this matters to me.

Absolutely incredible location. The all inclusive package was truly a deal. Excellent value for money. The resort even provided my son with a child’s bike he could ride around the resort. We only had one small issue and was resolved immediately and a complimentary massage was given as an apology. Absolutely beautiful from start to finish. We will be back (and we never say that 😊).

We loved the accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Comfortable cottage with aircon and small kitchen. Lovely breakfast nook under a bedouin in garden. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast. We had a delicious dinner cooked by the hosts. We should’ve stayed a day longer. Jambiane is a lovely beach town. We went snorkeling in the am and sailing in the afternoon on a wooden sail boat. Jambiane snorkeling and beach restaurants are also the most affordable in Zanzibar thus far.

Paje is the best get away and the best to party in Zanzibar. If you also wanna meet some people or your partner paje is the best place or choice to make. People are friendly and welcoming places are fair prices and everything is just ok. I stayed longer than I expected but I still loved it.

This is one of the closest private houses to the sea in the area. We loved having an entire house instead of just a room—it gave us so much space, comfort, and freedom. Waking up and reaching the beach within moments made our stay truly special. We would definitely come back

Quite a rural area with many street shops.

Quite a rural area with many street shops. Hotels are a short walk from Jambiani Street and on the beach. Mostly an area for R&R tourists with some sports and other outdoor activities. The beach is covered with locals trying to sell you anything. Interesting to experience the area, but we are unlikely to return.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. What I loved most was how kind the staff is.

What I loved most was how kind the staff is. Mostafa made sure the meals were served well. I saw him planning everything…lol. The spa experience also, 10/10. The shows at night were interesting. The gym is also decent but they can improve it for sure. The towel station is far from the main swimming pool. I wished there was one closer instead of going all the way near the reception.

Look, you don't see much of that area as you are really contained in our own beautiful (and large) resort. It appears there are plenty of hotels up and down the coast line. Some of them even with sand beach (at low tide). I would think that there is not much out in Kizimkazi, there in terms of development outside the resorts (ATM, western supermarkets, upmarket restaurants). So you stay in your resort, or do day excursions to other areas.

Was okay. I knew what I was going for.

Was okay. I knew what I was going for. It is a very quiet and secluded part of Zanzibar. No night life, not much of the blue waters, the tide can be funny too and the shores can tend to have lots of weed. But that is okay.
