Highly recommended - couldn't have asked for more! Great location right next to the beach and view of Haystack Rock. Free shuttle service to the town area (but actually it's just 10 minute walk away). Friendly staff and wonderful check-in process (welcome drink, free cookies). The room was in great condition with a great shower/bathtub and complete basic facilities. Many amenities including a pool. Free parking. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again next time.

We loved the room, balcony, and ocean view from our room. We also LOVED the proximity to everything - beach, restaurants, coffee shop, and the e-bikes/dune boards we could rent for free. The king bed and jacuzzi was luxurious, and made for a fantastic mini honeymoon. Will definitely be back!

Liked the room. Was offered an upgrade for a king river view/separate room. Kids had pull out. Plenty of room. Comfortable, clean kitchen, laundry was a bonus. Kids loved the jetted tub. Def a comfortable stay! Enjoyed the easy breakfast option for a busy day ahead! Friendly staff.

We liked everything. The rooms were really clean and the TVs are big and clear. The river view was beautiful and short walk to the beach. Walls have good insulation and can’t hear other people in the other rooms. Taffy in the room was good!

Seaside is a no brainer.

Seaside is a no brainer. The most popular beach town in northern Oregon. Easily accessible from hwy 101 south or north. Near to several other beaches and attractions. Astoria is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Tillamook is just down the coast as is Cannon Beach. Fun shops and eateries on the main road. Plentiful hotels. Great beach ambience with multiple beach access points and a long promenade.

Beautiful beach featuring rock formations (most famously, Haystack Rock) and many birds, including puffins, and sea creatures in tidepools (sea stars, anemones, barnacles). There are volunteers near Haystack Rock to give people information as well as protect the maritime features from damage. Water is really cold, even in summer, but there were people surfing in some areas. Plenty of room for walking, building sandcastles, and enjoying nature.

Astoria is a great get- away place along the coast to visit, which has lots of history worth exploring, as well as beautiful scenery. It's not as busy or crowded as many of the other coastal towns, which makes it more appealing for retired people and families without small children. There are a number of brew pubs, wine bars & restaurants, which make it an interesting place to explore various culinary styles. Taking the trolley along the river way was a surprising gem- so inexpensive, & a character- filled, entertaining, informative exploration of the heart of this charming town.

My sister and I spent two nights here.

My sister and I spent two nights here. On the first night we ate dinner at a nearby beachfront restaurant, and it was fine. The beach is wonderful. The second day we took the Oregon Scenic Railroad trip to Garibaldi and back. It was fun, and we saw so much of the beautiful Oregon Coast. The sea stacks were amazing for my sister to see as a visitor. Afterwards, we found a few antique stores to wander through and had dinner. I had another beach visit before we left the next morning, and we headed North to Cannon Beach and on to Astoria. It was a great trip. I think if you are looking for a beach to enjoy, it would be a nice QUIET place. There is not much happening and a very small selection of restaurants. Remember PNW beaches are different from Florida beaches :)

The tour book (DK Northwest) directed us to Tillamook to spot the whales and watch the birds near the light house. Both turned out to be more of a fancy than real enjoyment - too far away to see clearly and even take a decent shot with 600mm lens. Having said that, the area is well forested with many spruce and rosewood trees - take it a forest visit than ocean front tour.

I loved everything about staying there and I love the breakfast and the hot tub and that's what sold me on staying there for PS the breakfast could use a little few things different such as ADD sausage that would be nice change or some kind of meat some kind of potato . The breakfast is the only thing that lacked a little bit milk would be nice cold milk

Gearhart is less commercial and less busier than other coastal towns, with a relaxed vibe and quiet. That said, this town is super close to restaurants and services in Seaside and the art galleries of Cannon Beach. I was able to visit and enjoy all three towns and enjoy the amenities of all of them without having to do a lot of driving. I ate at Nonnies for Italian dinner one night (Seaside) and yum. I enjoyed the Dragonfire Gallery in Cannon Beach on another day. My favorite was walking the clean deserted beach at Gearhart where I had nature all to myself.

We stayed in Nehalem for its proximity to Manzanita, where we were attending an event. The property is just 2 miles south of Manzanita, which was very convenient. We booked on short notice, with few choices available. The town of Nehalem is very small and we didn't spend any time there, except that we did enjoy a good fish & chips lunch outside at Riverside Fish & Chips.
