I was looking for a remote, quiet area, immersed in nature to relax and recuperate. This was the ideal spot! I requested to check in despite being a few hours early, and not only was welcomed to do so, but got a beautiful upgrade to my room, my parking comped and assistance with my heavy bags up the stairs. The room was a dream, the view spectacular and I truly felt like I had stepped away from reality for a moment to live in a dream. I watched sunrises and sunsets on the water and ate meals on my terrace every chance I got. I swam, soaked in the hot tub, and took lovely walks. This was truly the best choice ever!

Great location! Loved looking out the window every day at the ocean and palm trees. Sunsets were spectacular! Was able to walk to get food, coffee, and get to the beach. The condo was perfect for my adult daughter and I. We spent time together and had space to be alone. The kitchen was fully stocked. We did all our laundry before we left so one less thing to do when we arrived home. Liked access to the building was restricted to those who had key faubs. Parking was also secure. Would definitely stay there again.

Really enjoyed our trip.

Really enjoyed our trip. The food was great - did not entirely expect this. Public transportation worked very well for us. We took in a Padres game (they played Houston which doesn't happen often), took the trolley/bus to everywhere we wanted to go, did the inaugural Margaritaville 10K, strolled the port, enjoyed the outdoor bars, and loved OB Noodle House 1502 the home of Skrewball peanut butter whiskey.

We love Carlsbad and own a timeshare there at a different time of the year. The beaches and walks are wonderful and we always enjoy being there. We eat at Harbor Fish at least once during our stay but there are lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Was stationed on Camp Pendleton. Lived in Vista, Loved it way back when. Retired to Indiana. Try to come back always. But, now, Too expensive, Locations to stay are ridiculous. This just became a one in a few years to visit place. Not a decent restaurant to say I'd be back. Love the beach, miss the old Pier and restaurant at the e3nd of the pier. Love the beach, many memories on that beach.

Fairly easy streets. We visited one street in downtown where we enjoyed a great lunch at Kalavera restaurant. And purchased a variety of teas in a really cute shop. This was the highlight of our visit. The area were we stayed was looking a bit run down. Many homeless roam the streets; sad to see. We ventured on a road that took us further into a very cute area and much cleaner neighborhood. There’s not much to do here. You have to travel further north to San Diego for things to do. Unless going to Tijuana is in your bucket list. We were told you could take the train there (the train is close to the hotel)

Encinitas still has the charm of a small beach town.

Encinitas still has the charm of a small beach town. Fun to watch the surfers. There is are antique shops & fresh produce markets. One can even go meditate at the Self-Realization Fellowship Centre in their glorious gardens. We had excellent pizza within walking distance of the Leucadia Beach Inn. What a fantastic place to stay!

I am not familiar with national city but it's super close to TJ the Mexican border. If you don't want to stay in Mexico it is a very short drive and very convenient. It is also very convenient to drive from national city to the heart of San Diego.

Bedbugs at both hotels, filthy rooms. Dead bed bugs on the light switch in the bathroom and neither hotel gave me a full refund. Roadway Inn REFUSED to give me receipts and actually told me that they don't give paper receipts to guests that Book rooms on Booking.com. I continued to ask for my receipts and the staff refused again and became very rude and insisted they didn't have to because I booked on Booking.com They said that it was your responsibility to provide me paper receipt for my payment to THEM. I left roadway Inn REFUSED my receipt. Never got a receipt.

I took some time away from Chicago to visit California. Escondido or any other place in California is what a person makes of it. I keep my expectations realistic so I can actually enjoy myself visiting different scenic places.

It’s a cute area and heavily Hispanic which means great local food options! I don’t speak Spanish but even with a language barrier in a few places, everyone was so nice! It’s very close to the outlets, and not a far drive to get to places like Hillcrest or Imperial Beach. There are lots of street vendors as well which offer many options for food. Street parking is a bit rough since spots are limited but businesses have ample parking. El Mango Manila ( Fruteria El Manila is what the sign says) has the BEST fruit salad I have ever had! I was there for 4 days and bought 3 fruit salads. I’ve been to San Ysidro 3 times and really enjoy it. It’s colorful and diverse with so much local culture.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you. The property is located in the foothills of Vista. You see the natural beauty of Vista. The property is well kept. The landscaping blends well with the surrounding area. You hear the birds not traffic. I enjoyed sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature. The apartment is perfect for get aways. It is well kept and very clean.The owners Susan and Rich are kind and accommodating. I will definitely book with them again. Shelby Johnson
