Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. Hotel’s location was very close to the train station, which makes transportation easier for tourists.

It’s a really cool place with nice restaurant and bar and a beautiful spa. Great price to value for our trip. The location is great, too. 2 min walk from the train station and 1 minute to gondola - hard to beat this.

Exceptional stay! Impeccable service, stylish decor, and incredibly comfortable rooms. The staff went above and beyond to make experience memorable. The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect.

We had the priviledge of using the Director's suite on the fourth/top floor of the hotel - with unbelievably good views - sofa in sitting room makes into another big bed - we believe there's a kitchen up there too. The hotel does B&B style in the summer with evening dining in the winter for skiers. The smorgasbord for breakfast was extensive - plenty to eat before the day's activities - they bought in some soya milk for me. There's a fridge in reception area with honesty sheet for beers etc taken and supplied by the hotel. A short walk down the road there's the super Italian Da Sina Ristorante - but book to avoid disappointment - lovely staff and great ambience and food cooked fresh to order. The staff are kind and friendly and do their utmost to help you make your stay what you are looking for - rooms cleaned daily, towels checked and replaced if used, everything looks and feels clean - whilst the Jungfrau smiles down on you and the colours of the mountains change from sunrise to sunset - occasionally you become aware of a mountain cow bell. On request a electric taxi will take you and your luggage from the station up to the hotel and on the return. Wengen is car free apart from practical deliveries by electric vehicles - you may even get to see a delivery by the valley helicopter! The hotel also has a library, well equipped games and tv room and another communal lounge - and a free pen! We were there for the annual Mendelssohn Music Festival - and got to meet a number of the professional performers at breakfast! - the Festival is a MUST! WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE !

It was one of the best views ever from a room I stayed in. Wengen is amazing and Hotel Alpenruhen's location is excellent. You can see the entire Lauterbrunnen valley below. Hotel is 12 mins of train ride from Lauterbrunen and then a 7-8 min slight uphill walk from Wengen train station. They pick you up and drop you off at check in and check out which is very nice. The room is spacious, modern and luxurious. Breakfast area is comfortable and food was delicious.

It was really special staying in such a historic house that has been serving guests for decades. Diane was so kind and sweet. We think this place is a gem and perfect for someone looking for simple accommodations and making memories outside in the beautiful world outdoors. Thank you Diane for a great stay. The room we stayed in was really nice with a great view from the window. Bathrooms and shower rooms were clean and worked great.

The Edelweiss Lodge was a charming 120 year old building in lovely Wilderswil, a great location to get to everything. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, we booked the private room with a bath. After a long day the garden was peaceful and beautiful and the spa or bath was an absolute bonus. The tasty breakfast with an amazing view was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!!

The apartment was just as specified, with a spectacular view. We love that we could just sit inside and or on the front porch as look at the Beautiful Alps rising above. Great pick up and drop off at the train station.

Beautiful location in a beautiful mountain village

The views of the mountain were great. Everything was clean and we were in a great location. The hotel had everything we needed for our stay too. We didn’t have time to use the sauna but went to the restaurant and the honest bar/lounge.

Loved the character of an historic, family owned hotel

Everything was superb, room was emaculate, food was tasty and staff were quite respectful and professional.

The place is extraordinary. In the heart of the valley. Although we booked a smaller room, Adam upgrade us with a better room. Everything was perfect. The room, it was clean, the view from tje balcony breathtaking and the brekfast also perfect. Adam was very kind and helpful. We had also parking in the property, very important if you are travelling by car. For sure we will choose it again and we totally recommend it to everyone!

To sum up, the apartment has the best view, and the host, Angie has the best heart! The view of the apartment is the best. You can see the one of the biggest waterfall of Lauterbrunnen, and the church from the balcony and the living room/main bedroom. The view is with a very good angel. We enjoyed breakfast/bruch with the view on the balcony several times. The kitchen is very well equipped, with stoves, microwave and oven, a lot of cooking sources and spices, and coffee capsules. The rooms are warmly decorated and cozy. The whole apartment is very well heated as we came during autumn time. Further more, Angie is very kind in providing us with a lot of extra help. We had a family member who is rather sick, and Angie has been very kind in giving us a lift from and to the train station. helping us carrying the luggages upstairs to the apartments, and also gave us medical assistances by providing info. of local medical clinics. I really appreciate all the extras she has done for us!

The hotel is very pleasant, very clean, nicely decorated, and the location is of course incredible. Plus, the staff is fantastic. Definitely an excellent hotel.

Beautiful mountain view if you upgrade room. They have a meet and greet event which you meet the owners. Nice staff. Great amazing breakfast if you get it included. It's right across the cable car. Pool with a view. Service fast and great. Generous hotel cart service to and from the other station

It was one of the most beautiful and amazing hotels in switzerland and Grindelwald at all. Beautiful room with a breathtaking view. Breakfast very good.
