Very well kept Ryokan with comfortable facilities and amenities, room was very spacious and comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the sukiyaki dinner was on point ! Private onsen makes the whole experience even more worth while !

I love it all! We stayed at the family room with our own private bath. We love walking around from the hotel to the walking street. The staff are very kind to accommodate our food preferences and allergies.

Every detail was handled with such warmth and attentiveness that we genuinely felt looked after throughout our stay. Their kindness made it incredibly easy to feel comfortable and at home. A very special thank you to Manager Mika, who went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. Her constant support, genuine kindness, and warm presence made our stay even more meaningful. Because of her hospitality, this ryokan is not just a place we stayed—but a place we truly connected with and hope to return to again. Combined with the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful onsen, delicious traditional meals, and heartfelt service, Ryokan Yamanami is a place we would wholeheartedly recommend. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Meals were delicious and staff were very friendly. Receptionist helped me cancel my nail appointment as well.

The bedroom is spatious, comfortable, beautiful and cozy (warm)! Also, the open air bath is GREAT, perfect temperatures and a view for the mountain Yufu. The location is also very good, 10min walk from the station, there are markets and cafes/restaurants close by. And finally, the staff is very very friendly

If you are going to Yufuin this is where you will want to stay. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. When I woke up early in the morning I went in the commons area and there was the most relaxing music. I had a mug of cocoa and was grateful I made the choice to stay here. We loved the bikes and the onsen.

Hands down the best accommodation I've ever stayed at, in my life. Staffing top notch, they helped with so much, explaining everything around/in the property and your room. They have maps of most of the town and recommend great food and attractions. They even help reserved a table for us! They speak good English! The rooms were superb, clean, and spacious, the private open bath was lovely, and we had a great view of Mt. Yufu, from our beds☺️ we will spread word about this place and definitely will return!

Nice room, nice service and excellent food

Easy access to the lake, snoopy Chaya and the floral village! The dinner was excellent! We were surprised fugu was included in the menu :) Breakfast was also exceptional. Onsen was great too there was private and public ones. Staff was very helpful.

We enjoyed the traditional Japanese style of this hotel, staff friendliness, and its food. Amazing Japanese style breakfast. The hotel was flexible and considered our preferences for breakfast. The dinner was exceptional and great value.

The facilities were great and I loved the onsen. Additionally, the staff were really friendly and helpful. We opted for the buffer dinner and the food was amazing.

This place was absolutely amazing. My partner and I visited for part of our honeymoon trip and we loved every second of it. If you do visit via train, you definitely need a taxi from the station as this property is quite secluded. We drove and there was free parking on the property for guests. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We booked in the dinner and breakfast service which was amazing. Our room was clean and cozy with a private outdoor bath. There is also a small guest lounge area where you can take in the mountain views with a cup of coffee which my partner enjoyed.
