The building was beautifully appointed, maintaining the original character. The staff were attentive, competent, and pleasant. The meals were also very good, including the breakfast.

I was looking for a place to stay with a hot tub near hiking trails and this place did not disappoint. Though small, it still had plenty of space, so I never felt cramped, and the bed was quite comfy for me. There was wireless charging as well as USB ports and outlets, so we had plenty of options to charge our electronics and our internet connection was great. The hot tub was set up in advance, so we could just head out and use it whenever we wanted without worrying about settings. Although there isn't food available nearby, there were plenty of places in the area available for delivery through Just Eat, so we had a variety of food we could order and pick up at the gate. Would love to stay here again.

The nature and the beauty of the place, that match the lovely owners of the huts. Lyn and Simon thank you so much for your lovely support during and after our stay. I forgot my wallet at the hut and I was on my way to the airport in London. They took care of it and shipped it back to me in Saudi. I will definitely be visiting back. Much love

It is a beautiful,comfortable,quiet , a safe place to stay. The kitchen was nicely equipped and the food left was sure nice. I enjoyed the apartment.

A comfortable stay, perfect for a getaway.

Such a beautiful space! Comfortable, clean, cozy. And the location was perfect. Near to Rosslyn Chapel and on a super convenient bus line to Edinburgh.

The house is very cozy but rather spacious, especially the huge bathroom and shower area. It has two toilets (one on the first and another one on the second floor), hot tub, outdoor seating, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, barbecue. Everything is very clean, well-maintained and prepared for a carefree stay. We had sufficient supply of firewood and kindling, good olive oil, salt, pepper, spices, garlic, crisps, olives, chocolate cherries and honey nuts. You can wonder around and explore beatiful forests and hills or enjoy books and board games — the house has plenty of both. The nearest Tesco superstore is accessible by 40-50 minutes by foot.

Probably our favourite location ever stayed in. Beautiful. Right in the middle of the pentland hills. Amazing for walks, very picturesque, very quiet, very relaxing, and half hour drive to Edinburgh or an hour to Glasgow, for reference. Great accommodation, had everything we needed for a week, and the addition of 2 hours in the yurt for just us was just the icing on the trip. Would recommend this place to anyone, and lovely hosts too to boot.

The rental was set back into Natural Preserve land and part of a historic family farm. The scenery was beautiful and the hosts could not have been more friendly. It was tastefully decorated and had every convenience you could want. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept on. You will want to grocery shop before you get there because you are at least 20 minutes away from any store. I don’t see this as a negative but it could be inconvenient if you don’t plan ahead.
