have stayed at a few places in skipton and the railway is the best.have no issues with any aspect of our stay.

Staff members were friendly and helpful. The food was good. Lovely historic building renovated to retain its charm. The bed was comfortable and the bath towels were large. Hot pot in room. location was good for things we wanted to see.

The room was extremely comfortable , well presented ,with everything we needed. Lovely and warm on the coldest of nights. Nice bar and restaurant areas with a good dinner menu and an excellent breakfast . Great staff.

We stayed in room no.4 for a cold weekend in October. It was very spacious and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were good with delightful packs of complimentary biscuits. The room was lovely and warm. Breakfast was extra to the room rate and was excellent value. There were plenty of options for free parking and it was only a short walk to the town centre. The hotel hostess was very pleasant, welcoming and chatty. In summary we really enjoyed our stay at the Highfield.

Perfect location for a day/night out in Skipton. Breakfast wasn't included so nipped across the road to Weatherspoons. Lots of cafes nearby if a pub isn't for you.

The location, the charm of the building and surrounding countryside. Great breakfast with a family feel about the place. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and beautiful views.

What fantastic and kind hosts! The George inn was something out of history and the couple running the inn joined us for wine while we had dinner. Lovely company! Great stop for hiking along the Dale's way.

Central location. Well equipped accommodation. Spacious rooms.

The location was very good, near town and for walks along the canal. After many days in hotels, having a well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer was welcome. The cottage was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom updated. It was quiet. There is even a back patio. We could park right outside the front door, but be warned that the street, and the ones leading to it, is very steep and typically narrow. Contact with the host was efficient.
