AustraliaBreakfast was fantastic eggs how you liked them toast cereal OJ. Beds very comfortable. Great hosts highly recommended to anyone staying in Hokitika. Best part of the night was the SPAR I spent over an hour very relaxing @ 39dgs. Close to town hoists very informative. We will be back to stay next year.

United StatesThis was a self-catering accommodation so we went out for breakfast to the easily walkable eateries nearby. The room was actually a very comfortable, spacious studio apartment within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in town. Kerry, the owner, was a one man Chamber of Commerce, arranging a helicopter excursion for us, giving advice on good restaurants and good places to buy pounamu (greenstone - don't miss its beauty and cultural significance).and popping up around town almost everywhere we went (his ubiquitous presence became a joke, but he seems to know everyone in town, which was really helpful in making us feel welcome). We very much enjoyed the small town ambiance of Hokitika, the comfort of the apartment, and the friendliness and good cheer of Kerry and his friends. Highly recommended!

The motel was a walk away from the town and great to be off the main grid. Comfortable, spacious, clean and accessible parking. I also could wash my cycle after a dusty ride with outside hose on grass without a problem. Great stay.
The motel owner showed us our room and facilities and I appreciated the privacy as no need to interact any further.

Clean, comfortable B&B with very welcoming hosts. Comfortable bedroom with shared sitting area for TV or reading. Excellent breakfast. A bonus was meeting other vacationers and enjoying breakfast with other guests and our hosts. After being on the road and in hotels, it was an excellent opportunity to relax and talk about New Zealand with local residents in the comfort of their home.

The 2 bedroom was great for three adults with plenty of space in the living, dining, and kitchen areas.
The staff were wonderful and kind and always helpful. We used their laundry services available to guests and found their coin-operated machines easy to use.
Excellent location, very reasonably priced!

If you are in Hokitika, this is a wonderful place to stay. There are 4 rooms and we had an ensuite bathroom in ours. The bathroom was nice and the bedroom was comfortable. BUT what really stood out, the breakfast and owners. They are very hospitable and made an AMAZING breakfast! Nothing but good things to say.

The Driftwood room we were put in was not as it was shown in the on line internet photos. There are obviously 2 types of Driftwood rooms. We booked in October but all other rooms were booked out as last year we were able to book 2 bedroom suite.
AlsoTV needs to be upgraded to proper Sky system

We found our room at the Woodstock Hotel to be the best of our whole trip! It felt like the accommodation had been recently built as it was quite modern, the room was large, the bathroom was spacious and the bed and pillows were the best we'd found on the trip and perfect for us!
We enjoyed being able to take our meals back to our room from the bar and chill out there.
The location is a quick 5 min drive from downtown Hokitika and the view of the river is amazing! We preferred staying here to being in town anyday!

We stayed here for two nights: the first in a 1-bedroom apt, and the second a (cheaper) 1-bedroom studio. The apt was really great, especially if you want to prepare a meal. The studio only had a fridge and microwave (no stovetop). Very modern and spotlessly clean. Very quiet at night. Helpful and friendly staff.

For a multiple unit holiday home style property, the apartment was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, more akin to an apartment AirBnB. We appreciated the 3 bedrooms, which was a nice change from the 2 bed places we'd been staying on the rest of our tour, for about the same price. (However this might be just because Hokitika is less expensive). Our place had a great view off the veranda, very fast internet, and on the whole was a very relaxing place to be. We wished we'd stayed longer (we were just there one night).

Location was convenient for exploring Hokitika and surrounding areas. The Holiday park had lots of amenities for guests to use. Our one-bedroom cabin was basic and comfortable for our 3 night stay.

The cottage was very spacious, more room than we needed (2 bedrooms!) which made it very comfortable. The kitchen was very wel equipped and the couches in the living room were very comfortable. Super easy check in and very close to a grocery store and to town. The cottage was very clean and updated. Washer in the unit and dryer available in the garage, super convenient! I would highly recommend.

Lovely big room, very spacious - kitchen was very well stocked. Beach view from terrace was fantastic. Animals on site and glow worm dell just over the road was a nice, quirky addition.

Great vibe in the pub with lovely, friendly staff and locals. Lots of space in our room and really good to have a separate bedroom for our grown-up son. Clean bedding and towels, comfy beds and seating areas, nice little kitchenette, roomy bathroom area. Good value for money.
