Overall the aura was powerful and conducive to absolutely destroying the mahi. The codger who runs the motel is a great bloke and doesn't take any prisoners when it comes to the comfort of guests. The family room was spacious with neat garden views. Small bag of sweets in the room was a welcome treat.

Our room was very spacious and the hotel is in an excellent location. We were able to park our car behind the hotel. There is a Cafe off the lobby where we were able to purchase a nice breakfast.

Location was perfect for enjoying the jazz and blues festival, very handy but still quiet. Spacious, interesting furnishings and all the accessories we required. Nice view of garden from the balcony. Hosts were welcoming and helpful, especially considering they were experiencing health issues.

Exceptionally clean, spacious and the decor is gorgeous. We have a similar aged property and we were taking notes. We stayed here for one night with my husbands parents and it was perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked with everyone you'd need if you were self catering. The bedrooms were super comfy.

we had an apartment with a separate entry and it was awesome. The character of the place was great, having kept the vault door in the bedroom made it really unique. The decor in the lobby and the historical artefacts of Oamaru was really interesting. The breakfast concept also suited us very well. All in all, it’s a very well designed boutique hotel with very nice and attentive staff. Definitely worth the stop.

Absolutely beautiful house, much more spacious than I expected. Bedrooms were lovely and extremely comfortable, brilliant social space (kitchen/diner/lounge) , and very lovely outside decking area too. Only stayed here one night but would have been happy to stay for a few days as it was so lovely. Everything scrupulously clean - bathroom could do with an update but has everything you would need and I would be very happy to stay here again.

Great location with shared kitchen lounge and bathrooms. Good value for backpacker style accommodation with private rooms and not too many guests onsite. My room was very spacious with nice views across the railway line to the ocean. Gorgeous sunsets.

It was lovely arriving there and exploring the history and how well it has been developed. It’s quite wonderful and it was very good to be there in the great bedrooms with a balcony and a lovely bathroom. Looking out over the gardens surrounding the main building is relaxing and very engaging in the outdoors with nature.

Nice spacious unit with our own bathroom, and separate bedroom for the kids. There was a problem with the hot water but the host offered us the use of his own shower and a reimbursement to compensate, which was much appreciated.
