Self-Catering Accommodations in Thornhill

This stay was a bit of a pleasant surprise, it was a beautiful complete apartment on the side of a larger building. There was a place to park, kitchen, small washing machine, refrigerator, bathroom, living room and bedroom. It was self-catered; but, there were supplies there for emergency meals. We brought cereal, fruit, bread, jam, peanut butter, milk and such and we had all that we needed for the stay. It was perfect for breakfast and small meals. It would be a good location to stay eating take out and small home cooked food in the evenings as well as breakfast without the need to locate a cafe or a PUB. We stayed for several days; but, it would be a good place should one need a small home to work away from home for a few months. It was central to the south west area of Scotland which was one of the areas we had not spent much time, there was lots to see in the area within a short distance from the apartment. This was one of eleven stays over 41 days in the U.K. and stands out as one of the best.

Spacious and comfortable. Large dog friendly. Good location. Parking available. Self catering and close to town. Trail walks and beautiful gardens to explore. Very peaceful.

A little piece of heaven! The cabin has been decorated beautifully; modern and fresh. The outdoor area is so tranquil and private. The wooden fire burner made the cabin feel all the more cosy. Dog was made to feel super welcome with a lovely basket of goodies.

Beautiful little cottage, one of the nicest we have stayed in. Well equipped and very comfortable. The enclosed rear garden was a real bonus for our dog and we even managed to sit in the sunshine one evening. We only stayed for two nights on our way home from Skye but would happily have stayed longer.

How welcomed we felt and how comfortable the place was. You feel in the middle of nowhere and remote but you're only a 5 minute drive from Thornhill and shops if you need anything. I could not recommend this lovely little hut enough :D
