Staying at Movieland was truly an experience of a lifetime, and I will return. One of the absolute most unforgettable stays anywhere. I never even imagined that I would be staying on a lake in Kashmir, and next thing I knew, I made lifetime friends (really family) with whom I will stay in touch for the rest of my life. The food, hospitality, scenery, location, and availability of staff to provide services and recommendations, as well as setting up tours, is incredible. I felt both like a king and like a part of the family at the same time! Javeed and his family took care of me, showed me around town, took me on tours of the lake, and set up a trekking tour in the Himalayas for me, which should be an unquestionable bucket list trip for anyone. I can't say enough. Life-changing is the easiest word, I suppose. The Shangloos also made me feel like I was part of the family. I even got to experience a wedding on a house boat with Javeed and Riyaz. Also, something I will never ever forget. The houseboat is super charming and cozy. Chilling on the porch and just reading a book is time to be treasured. I learned a lot about being tranquil and slowing down while being here. It was a true break and vacation from my hectic lifestyle. Eating meals with the family was also unforgettable. I really felt welcome and touched by their attention, hospitality and friendship. I can't recommend this enough. Don't hesitate. Be open to a life-changing experience. Relax, explore, belong, enjoy.

I had a wonderful experience at the house boat in Srinagar. The staff was extremely polite, helpful, and always available whenever needed. The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained — it truly felt like home. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Srinagar!

The property truly feels like a home away from home. Rooms are spacious, clean, well air-conditioned, and comfortably heated even during peak winter. However, the dining/common area lacked heating, making it a bit cold and limiting its use. The caretaker was polite, attentive, and took good care of us. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The best part of all was the location, just a few steps from shikara launches and houseboats. Our room had a view overlooking a serene, leafy arm of Dal Lake, but it was in walking distance to transportation hubs, hotels, and a range of restaurants. Second, the room and terrace were spotless. Third, the staff were eager to meet our needs. Hot water was available when we wanted, and the breakfast was the way we like it.

Great staff and customer experience. Also the rooftop provides amazing view of the city at night and day. Have at least one meal at the property then eating outside.. so you could eat authentic homemade kashmiri food.

The gentle movement of the boat added a special charm to our stay. The staff and crew were extremely courteous, attentive, and made sure we felt at home throughout our time on the houseboat. The food was freshly prepared, delicious, and served with great care, adding to the overall experience. Overall, it was a perfect leisure getaway for couples looking for privacy, relaxation, and natural beauty. A unique setting off the beaten path on quiet Lake Nageen. Decorated with local flair and down home comfort. Step off your back porch onto a personal shikara ride on the glassy water . . . what’s not to love?!!! Plus personally prepared private dinner and breakfast. Maybe Kashmir IS heaven on earth!

We had an excellent stay at Ikraam Inn. The staff was very friendly and responsive, rooms were big and kept very clean. Breakfast served was also good. The owner ilhaam gave us recommendations for site seeing and important tips for each place. They also arrange taxi and tour package.

A homely environment with good food, cleanliness and budget friendly. The Owner is very good , informative and helpful in guiding.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Walison Home Stay in Srinagar. The property is neat, peaceful, and well-maintained, making it feel just like home. A special thanks to property manager mushtaq, who was extremely helpful, polite, and always available whenever we needed anything. He made sure our stay was smooth from check-in to check-out. The housekeeping staff also deserves appreciation — very courteous, attentive, and kept the rooms clean and tidy throughout our stay. Overall, great hospitality, warm people, and a comfortable experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Srinagar. Would definitely stay here again!
