The Staff was amazing, kind and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy.

Beautiful, natural, close to various waterfalls and Playa Dominical, great service above & beyond what was expected. Extra towels provided as well as a private kitchen. Secure & gated.

Beautiful ocean view and you can hear the waves crashing. Great outdoor space which is where we spent our time when we were at the property. We were fortunate to be the only occupants for our 3-night stay in mid-December 2025 as there are 2 other villas that share the pool and outdoor BBQ space however you do also have your own outdoor space as well. Accommodations very new and very clean with everything you need in the kitchen to cook and or dine in and also had everything needed for outdoor BBQ cooking. Bath towels and beach towels provided and very thick and high quality. Also had beach mats and yoga mats for use as well. Property does sit up high with steep hills to drive up to get to it so I would suggest a 4-wheel drive or definitely all-wheel drive. Property is well landscaped on the hill, and it is lit up with different colored lights at night and looks amazing as you drive up.

There are no words to describe that view when you first walk in, just absolutely breathtaking- I was in shock my entire stay! It really was like waking up in paradise everyday… Everything is thought of, it’s super clean with everything you need & more- 10/10 for attention to detail. The owner and host are so accommodating and friendly. Overall, absolutely no faults other than I had to leave!!

Very nice place to stay for our family. We enjoyed the bird watching and other wildlife in the area.

The property, all the villas at Shelter from the Storm, are spectacular. Villa Solensse in particular has incredible coastal views and rainforest vistas from its deck and both its bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and though a guest should be equipped and prepared and able to do some stairs to reach the villa, the views make it well worth the effort. Beyond the villa itself, the larger property, which includes a beautiful pool again with coastal views, a Japanese garden, a mirador where you can watch the sun rise and set, and a waterfall, is unparalleled. The gardens are filled with flowers and foliage that then appear on impossibly beautiful breakfast arrangements. The breakfasts cooked by Virginie, are superb and unforgettable. Both Virginie and Pascal are excellent hosts, we hope to return again one day.

The rooms were clean and fully equipped. Views were amazing Staff were superstars and super helpful Food was outstanding 👏🏼 Super 👌🏻 happy. Hope to be back soon ! 😊

Everything was absolutely perfect! I would 100% recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back again.

The location was superb. Quiet with incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. The pool was great.
