The room and bed are comfortable. If I come back to Almaty one day, I will stay here again.

The location is a 15-20min ride from the city but the community is peaceful. The place is well maintained and rooms were silent. Rooms were cleaned everytime you asked them. Sheets were replaced every 3 days which is understandable. The dining area was well lit and had a homey vibe. The breakfast had a huge selection. It definitely had a good value for money. Staffs were polite and good in english. We didn't had difficulty communicating with them. I think the price for the stay is exceptional since it has anything you need for a hotel. The prices on their restaurant was decent.

Exceptional !!! We had a great stay. Mr. Ilyas the receptionist was so kind and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was great. Good locations also and keep the hotel and rooms always clean. Resident City Hotel is highly recommended.

Before there was another hotel there, now it’s totally different. I adore to stay at the new and recently renovated hotels. New pillows, new bathrooms, everything is new! As a bonus where is amazing view of the mountains! Breakfast was pretty cosy as well!

The hotel is very convenient, located right in the city center — everything is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. 🫶 The hotel truly lives up to its name — it’s cozy and comfortable in every way. We came all the way from Canada and would like to express our sincere gratitude for such warm hospitality here in Kazakhstan. 🇰🇿❤️ We highly recommend this hotel! Location is great! It’s walking distance to Dostyk Plaza, Eurasia trading center and US Consulate.

Everything was excellent. We arrived early due to our flight schedule, but since the hotel was fully booked, we were unable to check in early. However, they provided luggage storage, which allowed us to have breakfast and start our first day’s tour without any hassle. The room was always clean, with complete toiletries that were regularly replenished. The lady at the reception was especially helpful, and the entire staff was very responsive to our requests. Whatever we needed, they always went the extra mile to assist us. The location was also excellent—close to restaurants, cafés, and money exchange shops, making everything very convenient during our stay.

The hostel is accessible to all, there is a nearby mini grocery and restaurant and it is open anytime 24/7. There is privacy in your room since all beds have some curtains to close when you want to rest.

Gulya was lovely! The place was amazing and everything was complete. Very peaceful neighborhood and all essential places (mini market, malls, spas, ATMs) were easily accessible. It was also just a 10 minute walk from Arbat Street where we shopped often. We enjoyed the diner beside the mini market very mych.

It’s more like a home away from home. Clean, cozy and complete with everything you need. The location is also perfect with markets, restaurant & coffee shop nearby. Very responsive & accommodating host. Kudos!

Big spacious apartment, everything was good. I like the bathtub and the soundproof windows, there was no noise from the road. Svetlana was in touch. Good wifi connection
