Amazing well furnished large room near the town centre with a good welcome tray. Staff were friendly and courteous.

What a lovely place! Lovely quiet location and a lovely pub. Our room was so comfortable and clean, we loved it. We also ate breakfast in the morning which was excellent/good value. I would highly recommend this place.

The bath was lovely. The staff were friendly The breakfast was great and reasonably priced.

Stayed for 4 nights. Very good value for money. Excellent location in centre of Totnes - both railway and bus connections 5min walk.. 50% discount on food in hotel lounge bar and 47CafeBar across the road (breakfast). Both room and lounge bar have a 'nice feel'.

The Maltsters Arms was lovely. The pub and restaurant had great atmosphere. Sitting outside in the sunshine on the edge of the estuary was great watching the ducks.Free parking onsite was perfect. Our room was well decorated and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very good. We loved walking about the area, trees and birdlife, beautiful lanes. The breakfast was excellent with great choices( I had a smoked avocado dish with green peppers…sublime). The staff were friendly and helpful especially Erin whom we had a great chat with at breakfast about books in general but particularly her own publications. Thankyou Erin for our wee treat to take back to NZ.👍

Graham. And Sue are excellent hosts, our room had its own garden with a view of a ruin Cornworthy Abbey. The inn was lovely and enjoyed our time there. Food was good. The village is small but lovely

The room was warm and cosy. I loved the floor heating. The location was perfect for visiting my friend just down the road.

The most breathtaking views of the British countryside are on this property.

Francesca is an exceptional host, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully prepared by Francesca herself (ably assisted by Bella the sausage loving dog) and served in the lovely dining room, it was just like eating at home. Our room was spotlessly clean and had all that we needed. Harberton itself is a small village, full of character, we were lucky enough to meet some of the other residents who were so friendly and happy to tell us about life in the village now and in past times. The large dedicated parking space next to the property meant it was easy to park at all times. We have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Church Barn.

Great staff, wonderful food, great facilities

What an enjoyable place to stay!It combines the charm of an 18th century inn at Bow Bridge in Devon, with gracious service by hosts and staff, delicious meals and great location. Happy to give our business to this family-owned pub!

Sally and Graham were outstanding hosts, who we enjoyed getting to know. The room was beautifully furnished and even contained a tin with homemade cookies, as well as a coffee and tea setup. The bed was quite comfortable and we felt very comfortable there. The breakfast set-up was amazing, with fresh juice, an assortment of bread for toast, cereal, yogurt, and a full breakfast, which was cooked to order. There was also an incredible assortment of homemade jams. We also appreciated being able to walk through their huge garden, which was filled with flowers and trees.

Our stay was perfect. Everything was excellent and the hosts were wonderful. The views, garden and surrounds were spectacular. After travelling around England for 4 weeks, our young sons loved their stay here and did not want to leave. They adored Elsie and Harvey and have not stopped talking about them since. If we didn't live so far away, we would return year on year. Hopefully we can one day. Thank you to Shelley, Pete and their son for a wonderful stay and for some very special holiday memories. We felt so at home....

Good sized comfortable room. Nice bathroom. Very clean. Friendly staff. A nice touch was the extra milks, etc, on the landing - very thoughtful.
