We needed a place to crash for the night whilst attending a sailing regatta on the lake. The location was perfect. The facilities were basic and everything we needed. Caretaker was friendly, accommodating and efficient.

I love how close everything is, and the staff are always so welcoming and kind. The location is perfect, and it’s become my go-to place to stay whenever I’m in NSW. I always enjoy coming back and can’t wait for my next visit!

The house is beautiful and so well maintained - water views from kitchen and lounge, central heating for cosy indoor stay and all the amenities required (plus more). We were 4 families with two toddlers and had everything in the house to cater for all ages. Its spacious, clean with lovely decor in every nook and corner. To add, Gavin is an amazing host. Highly recommend this little gem - by far the best staycation we have had.

The property was extremely disappointing and did not match...

The property was extremely disappointing and did not match the listing or the price point. Several areas were poorly maintained, including a cracked window taped over, dusty surfaces, and a stale odour throughout. The bathrooms were below standard, with a stained tub and a second bathroom that was too narrow to use comfortably. Overall, the accommodation felt misrepresented, and we chose not to stay because it did not meet even basic expectations.

We were hoping for a relaxing weekend.

We were hoping for a relaxing weekend. The hotel did not warn us a wedding was taking place and we would be surrounded by wedding guests and their after party. The hotel Could have placed us in a quieter area not at the forefront of the wedding party. So disappointed.

Being whale migration season, watching whales surface, including some amazing jumps, was special while sitting on the sand with a glass of wine. Perfect. Every morning watching the sunrise from our bed.

We loved the beautiful bar and bistro.

We loved the beautiful bar and bistro. Everything you needed was in one place. Our place had two bathrooms which was perfect for the 5 of us. Although we did not take our dog, we loved how we had the option.

Caves Beach is a great place for families to holiday.

Caves Beach is a great place for families to holiday. The beach is accessible and patrolled. We visited places like Murray Beach which had lovely picnic grounds as well as accommodation. We enjoyed a great meal at the Caves Beach Hotel. Magic Noodle has great Asian food. We bought some takeaway for the family; it was delicious and reasonably priced. Main supermarkets such as Coles, Woollies and Dan Murphy's are conveniently located.

Caves Beach villas are excellent for a short stay with your...

Caves Beach villas are excellent for a short stay with your family. You can park your car at your villa and walk everywhere. There is access to the private pool, to Hams Beach, Caves Beach, Quarry Beach and Split Rock. There is a private pool for guest use, and a lovely Bar & Grill on site. The complex is quiet and generally well maintained. We felt safe, relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much.
