Beds super comfortable, so important. Staff was exceptional in helping us contact Heron Island. Staff very nice both visits. Stayed two different nights. Quiet, excellent air con, shower was nice and large with great water pressure. Thai place by front door exceptional. Would stay again and again, the beds are excellent.

staff were fantastic and cared for my daughter who was dropped off by police due to a family violence situation. she was crying and conforted by staff who made her feel safe and welcome, and offered her meals and drinks.

The outlook from hotel ; so much to take in. Day night and sunsets ! I find Gladstone fascinating. A mix of industry going on but views not spoiled. We saw many wellfare office fronts. Seems caring. A great place to visit.

Gladstone has clearly had a makeover, the outdoor spaces in the CBD and port area are lovely. In the CBD everything was clean, the streetscape was well laid out with plenty of sun cover. People and staff at all places and walking on the streets were friendly and seemed genuinely happy. The area is made up of the old parts and the much newer areas as seen travelling in from the west side compared to the south side. There was a good selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. The waterfront was nice to be around.

Gladstone has so many beautiful parks walks and water fronts...

Gladstone has so many beautiful parks walks and water fronts to spend your time in. A large variety of restaurants and plenty of shops and things to do. The nightlife also doesn’t disappoint, there are quite a few venues to choose from to go for a dance, an evening meal or to sit for a few drinks with live music. The locals were all very polite and friendly and helpful, it’s a very family friendly city and we think has a lot to offer.

We were in the CBD area, really not a lot to do in Gladstone...

We were in the CBD area, really not a lot to do in Gladstone. Spinnaker Park was a lovely walk, but we struggled to find anything else worth going to see. We had three nights here, but in hindsight it should of been two at the most.

Loved walking down to the landscaped waterfront area. Was very impressed with what has been done there. Queens Hotel had good restaurant with excellent staff. Would have loved longer to explore area. Gladstone appears to be a very clean appealing city with great civic pride in what the council have achieved in the waterfront area

Gladstone is one of the biggest ports on the coast and has...

Gladstone is one of the biggest ports on the coast and has many amazing attributes, there are islands of gladstone harbour you can go visit and then there is gladstone itself that has many different suburbs. There was the Young Pub that we had lunch at the offered a daily specials of chicken schnitzel and chips with gravy for $10 which was delicious and is available everyday.... there are also other lunch specials but this one just was too good not to take. Gladstone is easy to get around if you have a car, otherwise I suggest prebooking a taxi as there arent many around. Make sure you know the barge times if you want to visit an island that your allowed to visit through curtis ferries and they are amazing and helpful too. But a 4WD is needed for the islands. There are many thingd to do and see just do your homework before hand and look things up on the internet and contact people. The flight can be long as from sydney you go to brisbane and then you have to wait a few hours for the connecting flight to Gladstone which usually gets you into Gladstone at 5pm.

We have a marine business and our southern GBR team operate out of Gladstone. Most accommodation options in the town are poor at best. Grim set-ups run by people with no imagination or business ethic. The Gladstone Hotel gives us a genuine”home from home” experience, where we are cared for in a very comfortable, and well thought through environment. I would not stay anywhere else. Thanks Tim

I have been on a road trip from Melbourne to Townsville - up an interior route (via Bourke), returning down the coast - staying in motels/hotels and, occasionally, with friends. Central Studio Accommodation was the top establishment for comfort, convenience (all facilities, good location), cleanliness, and pleasantness. And, by far the best value-for-money of the 13 motels/hotels.
