Yass is an interesting historical town.

Yass is an interesting historical town. The Soldiers club is really good - excellent value for money and has only recently been done up. We had a good coffee at Kaffeine on the corner of Comur street.

Yass is a lovely historic town with many original buildings.

Yass is a lovely historic town with many original buildings. There are plenty of cafes for coffee and food. The YSC ( Yass Services Club) has a great bistro at reasonable prices but be sure to book early if you hope to get a table on Friday or Saturday night. It is a pleasant, short drive out to Murumbateman for wine tasting if that is what you wish.

Yass is a great little village that has everything you need.

Yass is a great little village that has everything you need. We visited the Tyger Art Gallery, Ross's Relics and Tootsie cafe. Also the Train Museum where they had an artisan market on the weekend that we were there. We ate at Ewe and I and also Yass Soldiers Club. Not too far away from Yass is a village called Murrumbatemen. There we visited a winery, an Alpaca Farm and and Highgrove Pottery. Everybody was helpful and friendly everywhere we went.

Yass is very picturesque.

Yass is very picturesque. It has a mixture of old and new buildings which blend together well. It simply has a nice feel to the place. Ate at one of the clubs - RSL? Food was great - atmosphere was very good.

We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of Yass and...

We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of Yass and enjoyed the historical walking tour of the town and a leisurely walk along the river. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Kaffeine in town and had fun discovering the gift shops and their beautiful wares. We found Yass a great base to explore the different surrounding regions and towns.

Yass is a typical country town with a good range of cafes...

Yass is a typical country town with a good range of cafes and restaurants/pubs. On this occasion, on a public holiday we found that The Australian hotel pub has good selection of beers and food with more than generous portions. The same applies to their desserts.

I like that it was in the centre of Yass main street. It's centralised and walking distance from anything else important. It's cheap, clean and comfortable. They have a nice bistro with competent chefs, and even though we were a bit late and they were ready to close for the night, we were able to use the coupon found in the room we were staying to taste some of the local wine on offer. Really enjoyed staying there and will do it again.

We really enjoy the location of Yass Central. It is very convenient , right in Comur Street with plenty of local cafes and coffee stops. Breakfast available in the rooms is very tasty and adequate, continental style. Our hosts are especially friendly and helpful, as well as really good company.
