Hamish, the general manager, was filling in as bartender. He was SO friendly and welcoming! He spent several hours chatting everybody up and making the atmosphere wonderful. We loved his banter with his English friend haha This location was great and every staff member went out of their way to say hello and chat. Highly recommend!

Travelled around Loch Lomond and chose to stay at Arrochar...

Travelled around Loch Lomond and chose to stay at Arrochar as a stop over on the way to Glennafin viaduct the next morning. Lovely town, nice promenade to walk, good spots to try chips nearby, would come back.

Beautiful little town on the shore of Long Loch, surrounded...

Beautiful little town on the shore of Long Loch, surrounded by Ben Arthur (Cobler) and Bein Narnain. Very popular with hikers, walkers and climbers. Quite busy all year round. It is stopping point for going further up to Glencoe or Oban, or just for enjoying a round trip in Trossachs.

The staff apart from grumpy Chef was very good to everyone and couldn't do enough for you. The walks round hotel were great and for the really fit try climbing the Cobbler. Next door Bistro was great for a change and local buses plentiful We are not that young but managed to get around and visit Benmore gardens and Hill house

Excellent base if you like walking and hill climbing. Not much in the way of nightlife, although the hotel did have entertainment whilst we were there. If eating out be sure to book a table early as places were very busy.

This was the last stop of a 2+ week trip in Scotland - and...

This was the last stop of a 2+ week trip in Scotland - and was one of the best! The staff were pleasant and responded to requests quickly, the location was idyllic, and our room was wonderful - my husband said it was the best shower in Scotland! (we stayed in 10 different places on our trip)

Arrachar is the perfect place to relax but also a great wee...

Arrachar is the perfect place to relax but also a great wee place to chat to the locals and find out all the other amazing places on it's doorstep... Cruising Loch lomond visiting the aquarium at Duck bay or having breakfast at the distillery in Luss... It had lots to offer for families and couples alike.

For the cost of a one night stay with breakfast this the hotel was OK. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was tired and needed a makeover, but it was clean. The bed was a single, with a single size duvet which kept falling off, a larger duvet is definitely needed. The bar was reasonably well stocked and the barstaff very friendly. The evening meal menu was limited, no smaller snacks or meals and a little overpriced. Breakfast is a buffet and I arrived early enough to find it still hot, it tasted fine.

the location of this hotel was excellent with beautiful views and just steps away from the water of loch long. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was very good, with a generous selection. Receptionist Elaine and assistant manager David went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, thank you for that.

Lovely hotel which had a real Scottish feel to it! Our room was very clean and tidy. In particular, I liked the room decor. The cookies and chocolate bars were a nice treat after dinner, too. Lovely view of Loch long from our window !
