Breakfast was great! Setting and rooms out of a movie gorgeous! Sayward our concierge was exceptional in every respect and we enjoyed role playing in their first mystery dinner. Dinner was elegant and Paul and his wife, owners, deserve a round of applause for their warmth and hospitality!

Unforgettable Experience at Promenade 17, Oban! From the very moment of our arrival, the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality made us feel right at home. The hotel boasts elegantly designed interiors that exude both style and comfort. We couldn't resist the SPAGHETTI ALLO SCOGLIO at the dining room during our three-day visit - a culinary masterpiece brimming with Langoustine, Mussels, Squid, and Clams in a tantalizing White Wine Garlic Chili Sauce. The location was great, right along the seafront in Oban. The place was spotless and in excellent condition. But what set it apart for us was the staff and the overall service. Carrie was informative and friendly throughout our stay. From the warm welcome, to helpful information during our stay, through to the friendly goodbye to us and our dog on departure, she and the rest of the staff made the visit one we hope to repeat. Breakfast, too, was well executed and made for a nice start to each day.

I have stayed at many places but the Oyster Inn surpasses every other place by far. From the warm welcome and information given on check in to the beautiful clean comfortable room to the excellent meal and service. Breakfast was plentiful and very enjoyable. I must mention William ( table / bar staff) what a personality and smiled the whole time. Interaction with staff and customers was entertaining and refreshing. A total asset to the already fantastic team. Would highly recommend this place for a visit.

As it was November, a number of venues had closed for the season but there were still a lot of restaurants to choose from within a 20 minute drive. The pink shop, Munro's is very well stocked and the staff lovely and welcoming. Ronnie, the host at Coel Ila was most welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Stunning location.

Stunning location. Quiet and serene, exactly what I needed to escape my busy life. Take a ferry to Lismore, visit Port Appin, enjoy fresh fish in Oban, drive bit stop often to appreciate the beauty of Scotland. Take lots of photos to create wonderful memories.

Benderloch is a great location.

Benderloch is a great location. However, one of the main reasons I wanted to stay there was to visit Castle Stalker, but that wasn't possible because it is privately owned and only availble to tour and book in advance, and only on very limited days per month (3 - 4 days). This was a great disapointment for me. So I recommend booking it 6 months in advance of your trip.

I had an enjoyable stay at Benderloch, while attending a course at Dunbeg. The local beach is perfect for swimming, and there are hairy coos grazing in front of the property. Adorable. Also, in the afternoons someone in the distance plays the bagpipes, just in case you forget you’re in Scotland. There are several good restaurants in the area, but a car is recommended to get around. There is a bus but I think the timetable would be limiting. If I’d had more time I would’ve gone for walks as the area is really beautiful.

Benderloch is a small linear village on the main road.

Benderloch is a small linear village on the main road. An area of flat land to the west of the village has several caravan, camping and motor home sites, B&B and restaurant facilities. It is well equipped for serving tourists needs. A walk up Beinn Lora is a must. The 360 degree views are spectacular. And a reward for the steep climb. Only a short drive to Oban with all the shops, bars, restaurants, transport links, and facilities a tourist needs.

Caol Ila was ideal for us. It was in a fabulous location with everything we needed for our break. Ronnie left us milk, orange juice, porridge, shortbread, tea, coffee etc and we were delighted with the fresh bagels too! It had outside seating in the sun! Is a 3 minute walk to Tralee Fish n Chip Shop, 10 minute walk to beautiful Tralee Beach where we swam, 10 minute walk to Hawthorne Restaurant in a wee cottage and 20 minutes walk into Benderloch to the Pink Shop and Ben Lora Cafe which has delicious cakes and coffee!

Great owner Lain with which i had great talk on the beginning (he seemed like interesting person) also great contact with him on whatsapp before arriving. Cottage was situated just on outskirt of Benderloch it was not far to Oban and Fort William. Free parking is +. Nice quiet area. Cottage was cold at first but heat up pretty quickly with heaters provided. Bathroom stays a bit colder unfortunately. I liked how Lain went extra step and gave us sim card we could use and tips for going to Ben Nevis.

The Old Shed is a cute place to stay. We didn't actually spend much time here but it is lovely. Ideally you'd turn up with a lovely picnic dinner and a bottle of wine to enjoy on the deck. We went to a nearby pub but a picnic would have been perfect. The property has all that you need and is so nice compared to a bland hotel. I would recommend that you arrive in daylight hours as the house might be hard to find in the dark.

What a lovely place! Absolutely beautiful room with highest quality furniture and fittings (better than 5* hotels we have stayed at). Bed was so soft and comfortable, lovely toiletries. Highly recommend booking the breakfast. Host very friendly and helpful. Would love to stay there again and will heartily recommend to anyone visiting the area.
