You can tell a lot of pride goes into the presentation and cleanliness of the apartment. It was spotless and well thought out. The apartment feels very private, quiet and peaceful and the bed, pillows and bedding were very comfy. It was spot on for our one night stay with our dogs and would have happily stayed longer! 🙂

We had a wonderful stay at Burleigh Court, from the moment of arrival, with a lovely welcome, to the relaxed checkout when we alas had to leave! After arrival, we really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely atmosphere in the lounge, with a wide range of options in the well-stocked bar - including, hurrah!, a selection of Stroud Brewery beers! Then a delicious dinner in the 2-rosette restaurant, which exceeded our expectations - every single element was delicious and generous. With a wonderful wine selection, it felt very special. It is no wonder that the Burleigh Court restaurant has such a fabulous reputation in this part of Gloucestershire. And then a very restful night's sleep in our courtyard room. If it was slightly less damp weather we would have taken advantage of the sauna and plunge pool next to the room. And then up for a wonderful breakfast - beautiful locally-sourced products - fabulous sausage and bacon in particular - and a lovely selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruits - all served in the lovely dining room. And, most of all, the wonderful team. Everyone working at Burleigh Court has a wonderful manner - attentive but not OTT, and all committed to creating a lovely experience. We think that Burleigh Court is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy!

Beautiful property- I loved the sitting in the lounge with the fires going. I had an issue with my cell phone not working and the staff helped me sort out an urgent issue - above and beyond the call of duty!

I paid for the continental breakfast and it was really good. The hotel provided big mugs and the coffee was excellent. There was also thick bread for toasting with a good selection of jams. The hotel also provided different cereals, fruit and buns. The location can't be beat, especially if you're arriving by train as it is right next to the train station. The room was spacious and reflected the feel of the town of Stroud. The bathroom was large, with a big bathtub and lots of light. I was able to open the window in my room too, which allowed for lots of fresh air into the room.

My trip was to fly at Cotswold Gliding Club (Aston Down). My hosts pointed out several interesting local features (and the information file in the accommodation directed attention to more - all of which I failed to visit, see above). This part of the Cotswolds and the 5 valleys has much to offer the more general visitor.

The bed was very comfortable and furnishings including bed linen were very good quality. Everything was spotlessly clean. The power shower was great and shower gel and shampoo were provided. Jo was very helpful when I had a question, and staying on my own I liked the reassurance that they were close by, but I was left to enjoy my time in the apartment with complete privacy. Close by I would recommend Felt cafe for a great riverside location and tasty brunch.

A lovely area on the outskirts of Stroud.

A lovely area on the outskirts of Stroud. Lots of things to do. The museum in the park is well worth a visit. If it had been summer we would have tried out the Lido for a swim. Some great concerts on at the Sub Rooms too. Plenty of choices for pubs and restaurants.

The Long Table in Brimscombe Mills is only 15 minutes walk from the venue is a gem - food is excellent, the people, most of whom are volunteers in this Community endeavour are really lovely and the food, (which is on a pay what you can and/or pay it forward basis) is delicious. Beautiful countryside and fabulous walks.

Brimscombe was lovely. Peaceful and relaxing pace to stay and walks if you want to. Nice quaint coffee shop and local pub restaurant. We didn't like some of the scary roads though. Very different to city driving
