I had a wonderful stay at the Laurels Retreat! The accommodation is divine - immaculately clean, incredibly comfortable, perfectly proportioned, well-located. Furthermore, the kitchenette is really well equipped (more than the listing lets on!). Plus, the host, Kate, is the tops-- friendly, available, super helpful, but with the utmost respect for her guests' privacy. It was a home away from home. I can't recommend this place enough and hope I have the opportunity to return!

So cozy and welcoming. The rooms were elegantly remodeled, the bed, linen and pillows were more than comfortable. Even the towels were so luxurious! But most of all we enjoyed meeting and chatting with the sweet family that runs it, especially Matilda!

Jo, the publican, was very friendly when we checked in. She gave us a better, ground floor room for my disabled grandma (I did not even have to ask). All staff in the pub were very helpful both at dinner and breakfast. The room has recently been refurbished, everything was very clean and new. Very good value for money for the 3 of us. Good food in the pub at dinner. Tasty full English breakfast, with fruit, cereals and yogurt also available.

The place is very well maintained, big room, comfortable bed, extra facilities: iron, hair dryer. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, The breakfast was delicious, we could choose from a variety of breakfast types. . The location is lovely if you are looking for a quiet place.. The small, charming villages of the Cotswolds are easy to reach, also the Romanesque city Bath.

Broad Hinton is a lovely little village with a dog friendly...

Broad Hinton is a lovely little village with a dog friendly pub (not open on Mondays and Tuesdays). There are lots of interesting places and walks around Broad Hinton including Avebury Stones, Marlborough, Silbury Hill, the White Horse Trail and Royal Wootton Bassett. I would highly recommend this area.

Pretty village with walks from the door.

Pretty village with walks from the door. So much to explore in the area and it wasn't packed out everywhere over the bank holiday. Unlike the cotswolds which was rammed (Stow and Broadway) the Crown is a must and needs supporting as is about to change hands.

A relaxing stay with touches of luxury.

A relaxing stay with touches of luxury. This is a self-catering stay in a hamlet with no grocery shop, so come prepared. There is a friendly pub called the Crown only two doors away if you haven't been able to prepare to cook for yourselves. Everything is immaculate, the flat screen TV is simple to use, and slippers and robes were available for my stay -- a very welcome detail. The hosts are warm and hospitable. I recommend this stay enthusiastically.
