Great Pub & Hotel. Run by Emily & Claire. Made to feel very welcome on every visit. Staff are great friendly & outgoing. Nothing is ever too much trouble . From the moment you walk through the door to leaving it's a lovely relaxing stay. Rooms are lovely & comfortable with everything you need. Food is lovely as well, very plentiful & reasonably priced. We love visiting the Wheatsheaf. And we can't wait to visit again in January. Keep up the good work we would not stay anywhere else

We loved it! The first room we stayed in was in the annex and was lovely, then on our return we stayed in a lovely room on the 3rd floor. Lots of steps, but worth the climb. The breakfast was amazing and we also enjoyed getting a drink in the pub, and delicious dinner. The portions were so large they were enough for 2. The staff was friendly and helpful,even providing us a take away breakfast when we needed to leave early. Walking distance to the Aysgarth Falls and a quick drive to Castle Bolton and to Hawes to visit the creamery.

Interesting village with a delightful friendly pub that does good meals. Lots of walks from the village plus the use of the Little White Bus. There are wonderful views in every direction from Carperby.

Carperby allowed me to walk long distances around my area of interest, namely Aysgarth Falls, West Burton and Thoralby. It is well suited for trips around Wensleydale in general and Bolton Castle and the Aysgarth Falls.

The Village is well located on a good access road but not...

The Village is well located on a good access road but not too busy, Good walks round the Aysgarth Falls just below the village then up and down the Wensleydale Valley or over into Swaledale - very picturesque scenery

The wheat sheaf Inn staff were brilliant in trying to help us with the predicament we were in whilst in Carperby for 3 hours with no where to stay. At least we had some warmth good hospitality before being forced to make the long return journey home due to circumstances beyond our control. Photos of outside inaccessible property 😡

It was clear from the moment I walked into the Wheatsheaf...

It was clear from the moment I walked into the Wheatsheaf that great care and effort had gone into creating a convivial welcoming atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and efficient and our room was warm, clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with a good range of choices. The dining room and lounge were delightfully quiet which allowed relaxed conversation.

Nice little village with easy access to Yorkshire dales...

Nice little village with easy access to Yorkshire dales national park. No shops in the village but has an inn with a good restaurant. Shops within 10 miles. Nice walking paths and nearby Bolton Castle and Aysgarth are added attractions.

I've stayed at the Wheatsheaf on several occasions. It is fantastic value for money and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area and Aysgarth Falls is within easy walking distance (less than a mile). For bird lovers the path from Carperby to Castle Bolton is a real treat. There are curlews, lapwings and oyster catchers.

Beautiful hotel/pub , warm welcome, staff very attentive, food is delicious, great breakfast.. Rooms are warm and spotlessly clean.. Beautiful location. You can hear the noise of the pub in your room but at the end of the day it is a busy pub. Would definitely stay again.
