Centrally located on the high street, close to all the facilities. Easy check-in through the ground floor restaurant - we ate here and good value and excellent food. We were on the upper floor, but the helpful staff carries the luggage, which was appreciated. Pleasant views from the window, to the south across the bay. Room was clean and the bed comfy. Despite being on the top floor there was good pressure in the shower. Overall, an excellent stay.

The miniature railway was good then the little ferry boat...

The miniature railway was good then the little ferry boat ride across to Barmouth was a fun day. The local hotel is a friendly place to eat or go for a drink. The local shop is well stocked and the chippy does not stint on their fish and chips. It’s a really friendly quiet neighbourhood.

If you want a quiet family beach holiday I would say Fairbourne is a good place to go. Adequate shops for daily things, small amusement arcade, three pubs, two restaurants and two takeouts (fish and chips very good).

Fairbourne railway and the ferry to Barmouth are both good...

Fairbourne railway and the ferry to Barmouth are both good fun and useful. Penryn Bar & Grill serves good food as does Sue's Plaice and the mini mart and post office are well stocked for groceries.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay .

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay . Very family and dog friendly place . We stayed at the Springfield hotel , lovely rooms , friendly staff , near beach and they have a carpark . We also went to the golf course club house which is open to non residents . We took the little train along the estuary where you can pay to get a little boat over to barmouth, but you can walk or even drive to the estuary where you can sit and relax .

Fairbourne itself did not have a lot in terms of...

Fairbourne itself did not have a lot in terms of entertainment but it is close to lots of places that are worth a visit. However, the miniature railway is really good and takes you to Barmouth Station where you can then get a ferry to the harbour. The views on this trip are really worth seeing.

This was more than I expected - beautiful location round the...

This was more than I expected - beautiful location round the corner from a gorgeous beach - perfect for my little dog who came. Accommodation was immaculate and had everything needed, including space for 4 teenagers! Could recommend any more highly! Will definitely be returning!

Lovely cottage in a quiet location outside Fairbourne , within easy driving distance of Barmouth and Talybont. Comfy lounge and dining room , well equipped kitchen , great bathroom. We loved the welcome package of the wine, bread and milk. Recommend the George iii pub and restaurant up the road , fabulous food and lovely views over the estuary.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, we were at a wedding nearby and worried about checking in too late but they were really accommodating. The location was beautiful, it was misty and rainy but it was right by the sea and the hills, very remote. The breakfast was a little expensive but worth it, best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel for ages.

The cottage was fabulous! Rural, peaceful location with views over Fairbourne town and out to the sea. A short walk to the beach which we visited every day. Sat and watched the beautiful sunsets. The cottage was so homely, comfortable, clean and fully equipped kitchen for self catering. Highly recommended for a peaceful, stress free holiday.
