Location perfect for a concert that night just along the road. I was the only resident, so shared bathroom was not an issue, but not something I would usually book. Breakfast was delicious, everywhere spotlessly clean, friendly owners.

This is the most perfect place!!! Love the location with a phenomenal view, completely private and it is close to see local sites and restaurants. We have stayed twice before and the house is consistently clean and comfortable. The owner is so very welcoming and available as needed

The Bridge Hotel was a perfect choice for us, very nice...

The Bridge Hotel was a perfect choice for us, very nice restaurant almost next door. A Sparr shop was very handy as well. We loved the scenery our main reason was to visit close family members. The people we met were all friendly and helpful if we needed to ask about anything. Will be back next year as always. The Bridge was the best hotel for us after trying various other places over the years and rarely finding the comfort we needed.

Lovely village with good walks around the harbour and there...

Lovely village with good walks around the harbour and there is a circular walk along the beach and up into Navidale and back to Helmsdale. There is also the Timespan heritage centre with cafe and shop. Very interesting all about the local area over the years.

Helmsdale was a hidden gem .

Helmsdale was a hidden gem . A quiet backwater with a small harbour . The Bridge suited us well , was comfortable with a spacious en suite and a nice view . Huge comfy bed and nice bed linen plus plenty of hanging space for clothes . Breakfast was also good - plenty of choice and unhurried . Easy check in / out and the owner was both pleasant and helpful . We would stay there again

Helmsdale is a beautiful village, the people are extremely friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you, and make you feel welcome. The scenery is breathtaking, and the pace of life is very much relaxed, exactly what you want from a highland getaway.

Great wee village, friendly folk.

Great wee village, friendly folk. Lots to do, including a visit to the Timespan museum experience 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We also had an amazing drive out to the Forsinard Flows 🌈 visited the museum display at Forsinard railway station & a walk to the observation point 😎 We also stopped at the golf panning site and found some iron pyrites ✨

Kildale house is a great place to stay if you're doing the north coast 500 as the house is really lovely and there are nice places within an easy walk to have nice food. We only had time for a walk round Helmsdale after dinner in the dark as was only a one night stop off but seemed a typical nice Scottish small harbour town.
