Great value. At this price point it was as good as it gets. Room was basic but spotless, large and had everything I required. Access to a kitchen with some milk, bread etc was a real bonus.

Location was beautiful. Off the beaten track but just what we wanted. Bedrooms beautifully decorated. The entire cottage decorated to a very high standard. We arrived Xmas Eve to a decorated living room with Xmas tree etc which was really lovely touch

Holywell is lovely.

Holywell is lovely. We ate at the Druid pub nice food but no childrens menu? We visited Llandudno, Conway for the Castle, Prestatyn for the beach and a bit of shopping. There is a waterfall at Dyserth takes around 30 mins to walk up the side of it.

Location was ideal.

Location was ideal. The flat would have been perfect but the hygiene and some safety issues let it down. There was stains on the couch,dinning room chairs. One of the mattresses was stained and dried blood stains on one of the pillows. Safety issues which was concerning was the smoke detector was hanging from the kitchen ceiling and the one in the hallway was actually off and placed on a shelf. There was also a lamps in the lounge which was held together with sellotape.

I'd walked the St Winifride's Way from Shrewsbury over 5...

I'd walked the St Winifride's Way from Shrewsbury over 5 days and it was a lovely conclusion. The Well was the main attraction for me, beyond that the town was small and quiet but provided me with everything I needed. Next time I will come by car so I can explore the wider area.

Holywell is a great place to stay, perfectly located within a 10-minute drive of the beautiful Talacre Beach on the Flintshire coast and just off the A55, making it easy to connect to the classic seaside resorts along the North Wales coast. In Holywell itself, you’ll find everything you need — welcoming pubs, handy shops, and cosy cafés. Just a short walk away lies the stunning Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, a real gem for dog walkers and nature lovers, which leads you to one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, the historic St Winifred’s Well.

It is sad how since Covid lots of things have changed in our...

It is sad how since Covid lots of things have changed in our life, in our communities and towns. Last Christmas we were in Prestatyn and the market was full of life and this time, there were a number of shops closed up. In Hollywell, it was even worse. Lots of shops were closed up, sad to say. I know we all do online shopping, but I still enjoy going to small shops and funcky staff they offer. It was sad. However, the beauty of Wales, the beaches and etc., are still there to enjoy, so please have fun and enjoy your trip.
