Our first time staying at The Bank. the staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room 6 was wonderful. Huge bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Had a great sleep. Loved the little lounge facing out to the sea. Our meal at the restaurant was delicious and again the staff were great. We will certainly come back again and recommend to our family and friends.

Kingsbarns was a small village with no shops and 1 bar,...

Kingsbarns was a small village with no shops and 1 bar, which was being renovated. It was local for many other areas like St. Andrews, Crail & Anstruther. It has a great distillery which does tours/tasting and serves breakfast from 9.30am. Tea/coffee/cake at very reasonable prices. Kingsbarns beach is a few minutes away. It was busy every day we were there. It has a wild sauna and the beach was sandy & rocky, but we loved it. It has a burger van which sold great burgers, but it was very expensive and not affordable for families. Parking free first 2hrs then £2 for rest of day. Carpark and area needs upgraded by Fife council.

Kingsbarns is a pretty village within easy travel to St Andrews. It has an excellent beach with a sauna, toilets and showers and a food outlet. Beach also has good amount of parking. There is no shop in Kingsbarns but there are lots of shops in St Andrews and a small Coop shop and other small shops including a Chemist in Craig which is only a few miles away. There are lots of things to do within 10 miles in either direction so ideal location to tour the small towns and villages along the Fife coast, including a visit to Anstruther with the Lifeboat station and the famous Anstruther Fish bar, and other chippies.

Very quiet and well kept village in the East Neuk of Fife.

Very quiet and well kept village in the East Neuk of Fife. Ideal for travelling north to St. Andrews or south to the coastal villages of Crail, Elie, Largo and Anstruther. The village itself is very quaint with a mixture of old cottages and houses as well as modern small estates. The Church bell in the clock tower rings on the hour. There are no shops in the village but it is only a 4 min drive to Crail where there is a Coop. There is a lovely Inn which serves food, drinks and is dog friendly. There is an easy walk around and through the village as well as fields for dog walkers and, if energetic, a road leading to the beach area where there is a pop up food stall. Car parking is available at the beach if the walk is too far.

A small village 5 miles from busy St Andrews. If you’re after a quieter spot Kingsbarns is the place for you. Beautiful beach nearby, lovely walks, Small hotel with bar and restaurant. Just ideal for a short break.

Easy to visit nearby villages for eating out.

Easy to visit nearby villages for eating out. We went to the Ship Inn at Elie for dinner one night. We also went along the road to Morton of Pitmilly for one of their pop up burger and beers nights. The coastal walks are really interesting with some a bit more difficult than others. And St Andrews is a short drive.

Kingsbarns is a lovely village and very close to the beach (which has good facilities, i.e. car park, toilet, take away shack). I can't comment on the pub as we didn't use it. Seems a peaceful village.

This cottage is a wee gem in a beautiful quiet location. It provided everything you need for a short stay and the local community pub Kingsbarns Inn was a very short walk from the cottage that served delicious food. The area also provides a good bus service if you want to leave the car and the beach is a 10 min walk.

It's a very spacious house with good bathroom facilities and beds. Also has a large dining kitchen. It's on a quiet road with only a small amount of traffic. Ideal location for the Kingsbarns Inn and walking to Kingsbarns Beach as well as visiting St Andrews, Crail and other villages nearby

The house was very comfortable and served as a home from home. The kitchen was well stocked which made making the breakfast for 5 people a joy. A visit to the Inn at Kingsbarns ( which is community run ) is well worth a visit as it is only a five minute walk.
