Great pub with rooms, The Scott Arms, great view of Corfe Castle and a fantastic base to discover the Isle of Purbeck area of Dorset. Lots of walks available and great bus route right on your doorstep.

It was ideal for us.

It was ideal for us. We knew the area from years ago and the pub. We were roughly equi distant to places we wanted to visit each day, plus the number 40 bus has stops on either side of the road, just up from the pub. Ideal to visit Swanage, Corfe or Wareham where there is limited parking

Stayed for 2 nights for a family meet up, had the dinner the first night, expensive but was very good. Place is extremely dog friendly so you will hear the odd bark now and again. Loved the walks surrounding the hotel, it has its own garden a small walk which you can take your dog around in the mornings etc I like the courtyard where you can have a drink or meal, had a mediterranean vibe to it.

Lovely room, bed very comfortable.

Lovely room, bed very comfortable. Staff friendly, great location, with a bus stop right outside, near several great attractions. Sofa in the room was not comfortable, nor were the chairs in the restaurant. Food was quite good, but expensive for what it was.

Lovely views and wildlife.

Lovely views and wildlife. Centrally positioned on Purbeck, with easy access to Corfe Castle, Swanage, Kimmeridge, Arne RSPB and Hartland Moor. Countryside was so beautiful and peaceful, bluebells, lambs, swallows, picturesque buildings. There was so much to do:- relax, paint, bird watch, look for fossils, museums, heritage buildings.

The Kingston Country Courtyard was a great place, friendly and welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and breakfast was delicious. The dinner menu was varied , locally sourced ingredients and not “run of the mill “. Beautiful views from the garden. It’s also on a bus route. Great value for money.

We stayed in the smallest room at the Scott Arms, a cozy bedroom and bath. The rooms are above an old pub with an amazing back garden overlooking Corfe Castle. Kingston is slightly isolated in the countryside, but the Purbeck Breezer provides easy access to Corfe or Swanage during the summer months.
