Warm and Friendly Staff with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was a Full English, with a Cereal bar, juices and coffee. A generous meal. Our room was clean, recently renovated and comfortable. A nice place to stay, and great value.

Leyburn is a fine market town although we only spent part of a day there. We were able to walk from the house and visited both the local pubs/ restaurants. Both had their merits but for us the simple no nonsense Fox & Hounds had the edge with excellent reasonably priced food. Our walk up Penn Hill was quite a challenge but getting back down again particularly with a recent hip replacement in the party was difficult but we were glad to have met the challenge! We also visited Hawes and Aysgarth Falls in the vicinity.

Beautiful quaint town.

Beautiful quaint town. A few shops, restaurants and pubs available. Plentiful walking trails direct from the town. Surrounding area offers fabulous walks, attractive countryside and waterfalls, castles and many other tourist attractions.

Great village with a large variety of shops and pubs and restaurants. The local people are always friendly and helpful. The golden lion pub is a great pub to visit the food is amazing and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

We went for jazz and found lots to do in Leyburn - excellent shops including wonderful supermarket and deli and upstairs wine emporium. Disappointed by food on offer in pubs - not very varied. One high end restaurant (booked out and a bit expensive for us ) and takeaways but nothing in between like a mid range bistro.

Recommend a stay for three to four nights , easily enough to do. However finding a venue that serves food on a Monday / Tuesday evening can be a slight challenge so would recommend to go from Tuesday onwards.

Leyburn is a proper old market town with a relaxed and friendly ambience. Diesel was cheap. There are lots of beautiful viewpoints in the area, from the pretty but small Harmby waterfall to the more grand Aysgarth Falls just up the road. We'd definitely visit again.

West Witton is a lovely village on the way to Leyburn and Middleham, just down the road. Our room was excellent, roomy, modern and comfortable. The staff were exceptional from checkin to restaurant service and the meals were the best we have had on holiday. A great sense of professionalism and humour in dealing with our choices and comments. Loved every moment and the walk through the village at dusk after dinner. Breakfast also exceptional. I had the Chefs special and my spouse the Heifer Small. Breakfast. Yum.

The property was warm and clean. Everything that could possibly be needed was provided. Although essentially a one up, one down, the rooms were very spacious and well laid out. We felt very at home there! The sheep grazing in the next field were a joy! Only a short walk to the town square. Everyone so friendly. Fish and chip lovely, baker and Halls the butcher selling fresh, tasty food. Chicken the best we've tasted for a long while. The Yorkshire dales a few miles away were breath taking.

The Haven is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. There's 6 bedrooms, 5 with ensuite and the 6ths with a shower room just feet away. The place really is kitted out to take up to 12 people and the house is so big that it wouldn't feel cramped. It's situated right in the centre of Leyburn and just a stone's throw from all the shops, pubs and cafes, which are all worth a visit. I was there with 6 of my friends and we had the best time ever and would definitely recommend a visit there.

Excellent location for exploring and walking in the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely views from the property. Quiet and comfortable accommodation and very friendly and welcoming host. Would definitely stay again and recommend. The Wagon Wheels were a lovely surprise !
